Great over all experience

Over the years I have learnt that cutting costs on ink and toner refills can be false economy in the long run and at this price level it makes good sense to only use the genuine HP products. The HP 55X (CE255X) is a large professional toner cartridge that fits quite a few HP printers – some are listed – but the Amazon product page has a link to click to make sure that this cartridge will fit your own model. I've mainly used HP printers over the years and have found that they tend to perform reliably and give good service for a decent amount of time. This HP 55X cartridge is well made and works as expected but I can't comment on the page yield yet as that should be a long time down the line – 12,500 is quoted. As HP participated in, supported the development of, and adopted the ISO/IEC 24711 standard for determining inkjet printer page yields I expect the quoted figure to be accurate. At around two hundred pounds currently from Amazon this HP 55X cartridge is expensive – but it is probably worth paying the price for this proper HP branded product.

Not new . Looks like 2nd hand refill. No original packaging. Not at all as advertised. Letter accompanying the product asking to tolerate this suggests this isn't a one off.

J'ai reçu un pack de 2 cartouche dans un carton qui semble d'origine. Pourtant, c'est une cartouche qui semble avoir été reconditionné car quand je la met dans mon imprimante elle m'indique que c'est un consommable usagé et qu'il faut prévenir le service des fraudes de chez HP.

I realize that buying authentic HP cartridges costs more than purchasing knock-offs, but in all the years I have had HP printers I have never experienced any problems with their cartridges. Since I run a business, that alone is worth any extra cost. This extra capacity 55X gives me over 12,000 pages, and since it costs less money than buying two of the 6,000 page cartridges, it becomes a pretty good deal. Ink quality is crisp, there are no jams, and it enables the printer to work as it needs to.
