Marineland (Aquaria) AMLMSPS300 300 In-Sump Protein Skimmer for Aquarium by Marineland (Aquaria)

Had this for a little over a month. It worked great although it was very noisy. The problem is the very poor quality of materials used in the construction. After a month of use the pump stopped working. After removing the pump according to the troubleshooting instructions, I found it had a broken needle wheel impeller. The thing was constructed from some poor quality plastic. The replacement part is $53 which is about the price I paid for the whole unit. Now I know why such a hefty protein skinner was so inexpensive.

The skimmer impeller broke within a month. What a pice of crap.

I can't get the bubbles or anything to go in the collection cup. Nothing get close to going that high. I have been running it for 2 weeks now.

Horrible cup design. Stopped blowing bubbles in a couple months. Worst design I have ever seen. Avoid at all cost.

Collection cup was dirty, no instructions and when I found instructions online it says a cleaning tool was included and it’s not.

The impeller was broken and it wouldn't work. Sounds like a great deal if you get one of the few that work, but that's a big "if".

It was a great skimmer but, 30 days to the date is broke I felt sure it was going to last a long time and since my 30 days are you can't get a new one.

Broke in 12 hours. Company sent wrong replacement part... twice.

Not as much foam generated as I would like to see. Well made though and should last for years.

Impeller broke after about a month, works well otherwise. Waiting on replacement part.
