Easy to clean.
I enjoy them and am now using them instead of plastic for leftover storage in the fridge. I’m happy

Instruction for how to use
I like this glass container for storing food. However I used it for storing hot soup and the rubber band screeched. Now no longer fits for the lid.

Much better/ easier vessel for sourdough starter!
Love these jars. My husband bought them for me to store my sourdough starter. This is an excellent alternative to the traditional ball jars. The lower height and wider mouth make it much easier and neater to feed the starter.

Handy, useful bowls
Bought these as a gift because the recipient requested them after seeing how useful they were to a friend. They are sturdy glass with lids that seal well. The size I bought will hold a perfect amount of soup, pasta, salad, you name it, for one person. They can be used in a microwave and are dishwasher safe and can easily be tucked into a carryall bag that goes to work

Impossible to seal. Not suitable for canning.
The geometry of the lid and upper edge of the container positively act against retention of the gasket AND the gasket itself is very thin and very flexible. The thin and flexible attribute is ok on smaller containers, but on these very larger mouth containers, it is useless. An amazing fail for an excellent company.Update:Rinsing one of the gaskets under cool running water, just rubbing gently with my fingertips, the gasket broke, just came apart, not even under tension.Weck must have been bought by venture capitalists.

I DO use these for canning
I’ve both water bath canned and pressure canned using these and seals work flawlessly. For these size lids, however, they require at least 3 clips and 4 clips to pressure can. Because of this, I also would not recommend the 120mm lidded jars to anyone who’s never canned with Weck jars before. Experience canning with this type jar, lid, natural rubber and stainless clips, is definitely necessary, in order to problem solve issues that might otherwise arise.I’ve been successfully canning with Weck jars for over 14 years. I’ve never had t dispose of a worn out gasket when water bath canning. However, for pressure canning, the gaskets are good for about 10 uses or so.

Broken bowl :(
Very cute jars, but one was broken despite all of the bubble wrap. I ordered these as a gift and when the box was opened the first bowl/jar was broken. Sad
