After trying a couple of other slightly cheaper options which were pretty poor, I found these. And these are really good. A bit stiff out of the box, but I went for a 4 mile walk the day they arrived with no rubbing or sores. The fit for my size 7's is perfect. The shape 'locks in' my heels - without doing the laces over tight - which ensures no rubbing/blisters. The grip feels good, and I deliberately walked through some long soaking wet grass. My feet stayed nice and dry. I would describe the 'black' as very dark brown which I like. The seller's pictures are accurate for the colour. Thoroughly recommended.

This is the second pair I have bought, The first pair have lasted well over a year. They are worn daily for 10,000 steps

My second pair. Sturdy, durable and very comfortable, especially for wider feet. Been through many a puddle and feet remained dry. Only docking a star because the eyelets are a little brutal on laces - I wish they were slightly less 'sharp'. If they tweaked that then these would be knockout.

On my sixth pair now and they are always reliable and wear very well. I do a lot of walking in forests and along river banks. Always waterproof and very comfortable.

First pair of Storms I have bought.Impressed with sturdiness, comfort and looks. Only been through some wet grass so cannot comment fully on waterproofing but judging by other reviews I expect them to do the job.

I've seen a deterioration in the quality of my usual more expensive choice of shoe and a few other well known brands. I'm quite hard on shoes but I expect to get more than 6 months out of something that I've paid £140 for. I've just reached the 6 month mark with these and they are doing great.
