Hi - is it possible to warm water without boiling it i.e. maintain lukewarm temperature?

We've only ever used this item for serving hot drinks and we have lowered the thermostat to just below boiling point but I'm sure at the lowest setting it should maintain a luke warm temperature. Sorry we can't be more specific than this. Must say it's a lovely and useful item we've been well pleased with it.

is the inside of this stainless steel - or - plastic? and, is there a filter and is this stainless steel - or - plastic?

The inside is plastic and there is no filter of any kind on the tap. I have had mine for four years now and I have not needed to filter the output. The plastic casing is easy to clean and is robust and fit for purpose. The water heats quickly and I have used mine on a boat to supply hot water. I would not be without it. Obviously, the water that goes in is the water that comes out, and the secret to using it, is to wipe it down regularly -inside and out - and avoid water that is likely to cause lime scale and water that is from a doubtful source. I use my urn for washing, washing up, and general boat duties. I use bottled water for drinking and boil this in a kettle for hot drinks. The Urn boils quickly and will simmer at lower settings. It can be used for tea and coffee duties but I expect that tea and coffee inside the urn might colour the casing in time. Buy with confidence if it does what you want it to do. I love mine.

Hi how long does this urn take to reach boiling please?

It took 10 minutes for 3.3 litres to reach boiling. The Swan Water Heater simmers the boiling water with good control and with minimum steam production.
