The best Christmas Present of 2016 ?
I caught the end of a demo while I was in Selfridges and was really impressed with the simplicity, the visuals and that you can just speak into a mike and the track is played - as if were on a turnstile. I am not an impulsive buyer so I looked online and saw that it was backedby Robbie Williams, Alesha Dixon, Stephen Fry etc and decided to go for it. At the time it wasn't on the Selfridges website (it is now) so I ordered it from Amazon. The colour I preferred - charcoal which is really stylish had sold out so I bought it in blue as I wanted it quickly for a family/friends get together. It arrived by Prime in a beautiful box and I was able to get it going in minutes even though I am a technophobe. It is so much fun and easy to use and the sound is great - you just need a TV and Wifi. I do not like subscriptions so that is another major plus.I think this would appeal to people who buy or used to buy CDs. With the Electric Jukebox you can play whatever tracks you want from an album and then switch to different albums easily if you don't like all the tracks - without the storage issues of hundreds of CDs and trying to find the one you want when you want it. You can create your own playlists although there are some really useful pre-programmed - party, workout, chill, dinner party - it even has music suggestions for a wedding ceremony and reception. It is very social and a great talking point. My mother in her late 70s borrowed it as she was having a few friends round and they had great fun calling up the oldies like Perry Como and Tony Bennett although she's now also a fan of One Direction, Bruno Mars and Little Mix!

If you love creating mixtapes and want to explore different versions of ...
This is an incredible device. If you love creating mixtapes and want to explore different versions of songs, you have access to almost the whole world of music. And not just music, anything that has been published as a recording is here. I’ve even found the speeches of Winston Churchill and interviews with the Beatles. Whether you like popular music or your interest in music is away from the mainstream, you have access to an unbelievable range of recordings. You don’t have to buy a CD and find you don’t quite like it; you can just skip to another one.Instructions are minimal and you have to click on things to see what they do. I have however found that it IS possible to skip tracks on a CD. You can even use a favourite CD as the basis of a mixtape and delete the tracks that you don’t like so you never have to skip them.I’d love to give the jukebox 5 stars as I do think it is amazing. However, ours does sometimes fail to connect with our internet, even though we have a strong signal and the jukebox is only a metre from our wifi. Sometimes it won’t start. Other times, it plays for hours then randomly cuts out. No one else seems to have had this problem, but its odd as none of our other devices has any problem with our internet. It would be much better if you could physically plug it into the internet so as to remove problems probably caused by the vagaries of wifi.

Brings music back into your home again in a more fun and social way.....
I received this as a birthday gift and love it. The sound quality is good and very easy to set up and use. The music selection is endless; everything from current charts to anything my parents searched for! The stick has a voice search, which meant everyone got involved with music choice. The fact that this has a visual aspect on the TV (which everyone can see) is major plus. You can create play lists and favourites, all the functions you would expect. This also comes with a large choice of ready made playlists covering all occasions, moods etc. We had hours of fun as a family with this.We do have Sonos in our home but I tend to find online searching for music a little cumbersome and boring. This offers something completely different. What I loved was the fact that my son was out of his room picking this up and putting music on. This certainly brought music back into our home again in a fun and more social way. Overall great product. Bluetooth for future would be a great plus.

Very disappointing
Did not work. Was unable to connect to internet as network is a captive portal . Returned unit ordered another same problem. Not plug and play as advertised.I was really looking forward to using this item as it seemed to give exactly what I was looking for. However when I typed in my wi fi password I was unable to connect as it said I had a captive portal . No one has been able to explain how to connect this unit. I have since returned it fo a refund. It is not as simple as advertised at least not for me.

Everything you need in the box and very easy to install
Everything you need in the box and very easy to install. Even the 1-year free music pass and setting up the wifi was easy. Only thing we had issues with was that it froze a couple of times soon after arrival - realised that this was because the handset needed charging. Voice search doesn't seem to work too well - easier to do it by text search but the amount of music by artists is amazing.

Well this came out a while ago at over £200. Too much for me.Got a red one yesterday as a present.Nice box, nice build quality of stick controller and tv plug in unit.Very well built and nicely packaged, make a nice gift.I am already set up with a huge music library on hard drive,Spotify for free I use everyday and Amazin echo dot free music streaming with prime so I guess this may not be for me.The black and light blue look great, unfortunately my brother bought me the nauseating red colour. However good 3 colours to choose from.Have not tried this yet but I'm sure it works great.I am guessing this would be ideal for people who find Spotify or Amazin music streaming or all the many other music services too complicated to set up and operate. In this sense ideal if you have no music streaming or for techno phobic folk, old people etc.Great for old people or the blind for ease of use, just speak. The only alternative is amazon echo which gives a 1000 more services at a similar price but is still more complex for oldies etc.to set up.A great pressie for your old and frail granny or people who want it so easy they hardly need to press a button.
