Loved by me and my gray coat
For those of you who don't know - this lotion was created (with a cosmetics company) by Korean YouTuber Claire_Luvcat, who runs a few channels on YouTube including her namesake channel and Kittisauraus. Her channels feature her adorable and wonderful cats, who will make your day even in one small clip.Needless to say, I am a big fan of Claire and all her cats - particularly TT, of whom is the inspiration for this lotion. TT is the most beautiful gray coat who likes to lick her human's hands in-between pets, even after Claire applies lotion (which caused concern for Claire, which I get). My own CKD gray coat kitty also licks my hands in-between pets, which endeared me to Claire, TT, and this product. So, I knew I had to have Dear Gray Coat lotion.Unfortunately, the lotion wasn't available online in the US when it was first released. Or for awhile after it was released. Which is understandable. I know Claire has a base of fans in the US, but not as big as in Korea. What were we going to do? But on a cold Minnesota day last week, I was feeling hopeful that maybe, just maybe, Dear Gray Coat could be found on Amazon. As I typed in 'Dear Gray Coat' the term in the Amazon search bar, 'hand cream' automatically filled in. Curious/excited, I pushed 'enter' for the search and... viola! The hand cream came up on the search and thus, directly into my shopping basket. The hand cream comes in three versions, which I decided to start with the fragrance-free one to see how the lotion feels, but also because I know my cat hates the smell of all the lotions I use from Lush and didn't want the same thing here (just in case). She also hates the tackiness of the Lush lotion (I'm sure all pets hate tackiness from any lotion), so I don't pet her after I put on lotion for some time anyway. Which is sad. She always wants pets like, right after I have put on lotion.I received my order of the fragrance-free lotion in the post today and I tried it 30 minutes ago from writing this review. The lotion has absorbed, my hands feel smooth, and there truly is no scent (not even a medicinal/manufactured kind of 'no scent'). Before applying, my hands were feeling chapped from that Minnesota cold. After I initially rubbed the lotion in to my hands, there was the expected tackiness of using a lotion but it didn't feel like a normal tackiness - it was more lightweight feeling and it felt like it was truly going to absorb. While the lotion was absorbing, I decided to try and pet my cat. It felt more normal to pet her with this lotion on my hands than with any other lotion. She also didn't make the "how dare you!" face at me - which I get when I try to pet her after using my regular lotions, which was a good sign. I then offered her some treats, which I used my hands to get the treats out of the bag and offer them to her, and she ate them, no problem. No looking at me with horror because this lotion didn't leave behind any tackiness or scent like my others. The lotion is lightweight and silky, which is nice for a shea butter-based lotion. A little goes a long way, too (depending on how dry your hands are). The lotion is nice on my hands, it didn't bother my cat, and it also didn't muck up my keyboard (bonus) so, I'm gonna say this lotion is a winner! It is a small hand cream bottle so maybe you'll balk at the price, but don't. It's for an honest company with a good mission, a good product and well, it came all the way from Korea. I will keep purchasing this lotion for as long as I can so I can support Claire, TT, and all the wonderful gray cats in the world. <3**Update - Couldn't resist and bought the rosemary and earl grey scented creams. I am not huge on a rosemary scent in general, but this scent from Dear Gray Coat is SO light and comforting. It matches the same warmth as the green tea-heavy Marked IV Life tattoo lotion that I put on my arms 2x a day (to be clear, Dear Grey Coat smells wayyy better). I use the tat lotion first then put on the rosemary hand cream after. The earl grey on the other hand is refreshing. Smells more like lemon sun tea to me, with that bergamot smell being very much in the background. I keep this cream at my desk and put it on when I need a pick me up.Buy any or all of the scents, ya'll. You'll be happy with your purchase!

Light, smooth, and very moisturizing
I bought this product because I knew it was coming from a source who cares deeply about quality and about our impact on our animals: Claire_luvcat. I bought it primarily with the intent of supporting Claire’s western endeavors, I’ll be honest, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how great this product actually is.This lotion is, shockingly, actually everything it promises (which is so rare in any product nowadays): smooth, light, and extremely quick-absorbing. It wasn’t more than about 15-30 seconds after I rubbed it in before it literally felt like it was never there. No residue, no greasiness. Nothing. Just smooth skin. The best lotion I can compare the texture to that I’ve used before is maybe Jergen’s, which used to be my preferred hand lotion, but it’s smoother and lighter even than that. My knuckles were quite chapped, so it took a couple of applications before they felt fully moisturized, but it’s been 24 hours and they still haven’t dried out again, despite me having washed my hands multiple times since. I’m surprised, because I really didn’t expect it to have held up this long with how light the product feels. Jergen’s certainly doesn’t.I got the Early Gray scent, and when I initially opened the bottle, I was a little disappointed because I didn’t smell anything. The scent only comes out after you rub it into your skin. The Earl Gray is very pleasant: it smells sweet and floral, like a freshly brewed high-quality earl gray latte you’d get at a really nice cafe. It also has a very faint fruity smell I can’t quite place to it—maybe lemon? Regardless, it’s a very pleasant scent. My kitty was curious: he came over and had a sniff of my hands after I applied it, and he let me scritch his little face afterwards, so clearly he didn’t at all object to the scent.Overall: 10/10! I’m shocked just how good this product is! I honestly think this is going to be my new preferred hand lotion. Amazing job, Clair’s and team!EDIT: An addition almost one year on (January 20, 2024): my first bottle is only just now running out! I apply a lot of hand lotion in the winter months, so this is impressive! There really is no downside to this lotion that I’ve been able to find. The tube has held up well, despite my abuse of it (it’s been getting squished, shoved, creased, and stabbed at the bottom of my purse since I got it). This is a product I’m genuinely pleased to be reordering!

Lightweight & actually fragrance free
I don't like to wear hand lotion but in winter, my hands get so dry I have to. I hate the heavy feel of most that makes it feel like my hands can't breathe. I also hate the greasy feel, and the greasy marks I leave all over my desk & computer. I also hate anything scented even if it smells "good." That's a lot to ask for in a hand lotion, and many products have disappointed me. But, to help my chapped hands, I tried this Dear Grey Coat lotion in the fragrance free. I don't hate it, which is amazing. It's not heavy, it does absorb quickly so I'm not smudging marks all over my desk, and it has no scent. A bonus is that it doesn't burn my chapped and broken knuckles. I used the entire tube I bought first and am now working on my second tube. I like this enough to stop trying all the other lotions that promise "breathable" and "lightweight". I do feel that I need to reapply throughout the day, but not hating this lotion makes that OK and my hands have improved so much by using this. My knuckles aren't broken and my skin is much smoother and more moisturized. As it happens, I'm a cat lover so that's fun too, but I'm just so glad I found a lotion I can tolerate and actually like to use, cat related or not.

Great product and great idea!
A little goes a long way. Absolutely no smell. And very effective at moisturizing without feeling greasy. Immediate relief and long lasting longevity. I think the quality of the product and how small amount is necessary per use, the value for money is fair and so far worth it. Great for making sure your cats do not take in toxins while you prevent yourself from getting dry. My cat hasn't wrinkled his face at my hand's smell as it seems not even to hardly phase him.
