This little pump is surprisingly robust. It's attached underneath the foam panel in the photo and just keeps running under pretty harsh conditions. It's attached directly to the 12vdc solar panel and runs all day long. Has been doing this for several weeks now and I'm pleasantly surprised. Update: After a couple of months, it has started to make quite a noise, but is still pumping. I think a bearing is starting to fail. Update #2: That last update wasn't the end. I unplugged the pump for a couple of days thinking it was finished. A couple of weeks ago I plugged it in again just to see if it still made the noise. To my surprise it ran fine and has been running now for a couple of weeks without any bearing noise. Whatever was wrong seems to have self-corrected.

I was surprised at the efficiency of this little pump. Its quiet, easy to hood-up and puts out the volume and pressure that I needed for a project. It works so well that I bought another.

Worked well for about 5mins then it just stopped pumping and heated up until I unplugged it

I can not find a way to contact seller , one more is on the way .. I hope it is the 800l/hr pump I originally ordered. I will still use the 500l/hr as a backup. Just wish I has identical pumps. or a way to rectify this problem. (pump still un-used)

I am using this in a 50 gallon pond that is being run by solar, I run the pump all day long and it has no problems.Great little pump just be sure what your expectations are and what application you are using it for. Well made and value for the money. I. Am happy with its performance, but it is a small pump, looks bigger in the picture.

This small submersible pump works great in our solar water heating system. We have powered from our 12V solar system and it pumps water through our solar water heaters and water tank.

I read the directions. I did not run the pump dry. It did not overheat! Seriously, you do need to know that the fittings are 1/2" parallel pipe thread, not NPT!. if you try to use 1/2" NPT you will need a bit of teflon tape. Do not over tighten or you will snap the plastic fitting. But the pumps work great!!!

This is a nice little pump in general. The only problem I encountered is that the molding on one of the ports was off enough that I couldn't get a pvc pipe fitting to thread on properly. I was able to use a brass coupling and a file to work the problem out, so that it would take a PVC fitting without cross threading. This took about 15 minute to do.
