*Update*Fixed the annoying startup shutdown melody, see picture (hint: ripped speaker out with pliers) HAHAHA**Update to update**I threw this unit in the trash and went back to my old, simple Black Box G1W-B dash cam that has good 1080p video.Pros:- Blue tent works great, don't notice it is blue when driving.- Clamps onto stock mirror tightly- Main camera lens is adjustable to aim.- Reverse camera comes on when shift to reverse.Cons:- Can't turn off ANNOYING melody at boot up/shutdown, FIXED, see picture- Rear cam NOT 170 degree, more like 90-100 degree, useless to see much reversing.- Rear cam only records 640x480 resolution- Main cam video quality is not great, can't read license plates viewing video on computer unless within 8 feet of my car,- Can't make rear cam 'always on' camera view, after shutdown/bootup defaults back to main camera on screen.- Reverse cam, while reversing, shuts off after 30 seconds!!!- Motion sensor setting, if activated, applies for all the time. So if you are parked with engine running and no motion, system shuts down.- video files are disgustingly large, 1 minute 1080p uses 200MB!!! And the video quality is bad

This is a very useful product. I drive a 14 Silverado and work in construction. This product works very well. The video quality is good, even at night. It’s pretty discreet which you want and I’m happy you don’t need to leave it plugged in all the time.It took me a day or so to get used to the mirror as it is different from my factory one.My only negative comments for this is I wish they made the center power button larger than the other 4 buttons. Sometimes on the fly I try to turn on the video screen and hit the wrong button. My second comment is not their fault but I wish this was a touch screen.Overall it’s totally worth the price. I put a 64 gb card in it so I don’t need to worry about space.I didn’t install the back camera. Might have it done later in life.

This is actually a pretty good product, but it has no actual user manual. I called and Amazon support and they really tried to help, but eventually had to admit, there is no more information other than what is printed (and poorly translated) on the box. If you sit down and start messing with the buttons, some of it becomes clear and you can figure out how to set the date, etc. There are other options that for the life of me, I have no idea what they do. Also, through some series of button pushes, you will take a photo or two or three. Oddly, at one point the screen said, card is full. It's supposed to start over-writing old files so that this does not happen. Is it a setting? Who knows? I checked the card on my PC and deleted all the videos and pictures and it seems to be okay now. Why? Who knows? Also, just a nit, but the reverse camera video is mirrored. It looks like you're driving on the wrong side of the road. Is there a setting to fix that? Who knows?

Had 2 issues from the start on first day after cam was received. Couldn't get video playback to work. Didn't find out that micro sd card max was 32gb until after I read manual. Had a 64gb purchased. After formatting, didn't work. Got the 8 gb to record after plugging cam into cigarette lighter slot. Ordered a 32gb for future trips. Card reader in pc showed storage device, but came up empty initially for playback recording. Had to "right click" the icon mass storage device to get the recording to playback. Instruction manual gives no advice regarding how to do that. End result, video playback works and quality is good. One star off for lack of information.

This is a excellent choice for a windshield camera. I am very pleased with it and I have not hooked up the rear view camera as of yet. The camera display on the front of the mirror is very clear and when it is turned off there is no image of it to contend with. The mirror is slightly darkened to cut glare which actually works well even with bright lights behind you and the daylight image is not bad as well. Keep in mind that you cannot flip the actuator on the bottom of your mirror to darken it. Not a big deal.

I selected the silver color and the one i received is more gold than silver and doesnt look as nice.Update:I just went to install the rear camera and there were no screws in my box to securely mount the camera and the WIRE WAS TOO SHORT and didnt reach the back of the car securely.Update 2:the sd card wouldnt be recognized anymore by the dash cam and i had to buy another sd cardUPDATE 3:The recording only lasts 1 minute then stops recording. And half the saved files end up being corrupted .

Finally, I was able to test this item. I installed it and found the rearview mirror image for the backup camera so tiny, it's almost useless. I don't like giving negative reviews, but this time, I am doing an honest review, to forewarn buyers not to spend their hard earned money on this item. It's useless, and I ended up buying another product. Images on the rearview mirror are mediocre, and hard to see in daylight. I just wasted my money!

While basic function of recording and acting as a mirror work, buttons for changing options and setting date/time have not worked.Also, if you have a small car these types of cams may be too big. This is too big for my 2-seater and ok for my large car, but it still blocks the visor from coming down.
