I have a lot of American Hat Maker Hats, but this one was slightly different. It’s a great hat but when I got the hat it had white residue all of it. Then I notice the Velcro was coming off the inside the hat where the inserts go. I ordered an exchange, so hopefully that one will be a little better than this one. I’m not sure what it is about hats and Amazon but sometimes I don’t have the best of luck. Either it’s crushed or has issue with it.

The hat is of good quality leather and the stiching is good and tight. The reason for the 4 stars is the under part of the brim is unfinished.I wear this type of hat everyday working around the farm. We will see if it is waterproof as advertised.

Hat didn’t come in authentic box as most American hat makers products, missing all 3 adjustment inserts. Had was majorly bent out of shape squished into tiny box inside a plastic bag. No tags, no anything. Totally dissatisfied with a 165 dollar hat 😒

Make sure you measure your head before purchasing! If you measure 7-1/2 and it’s the largest measurement in let’s say a medium. Then get a large. The Velcro sweatbands will work perfectly. I measure 7-3/4 which I think is the largest measurement as a medium. I bought a medium and had to take the sweatband and glued Velcro out. The hat fits perfectly. Also, be aware of the length of your hair. If you measure your head, order the hat, then get a haircut, it will fit slightly bigger. Just a “heads” up!

I received my new hat as promised. I was impressed in the box and packing. The hat arrived in perfect condition. It is one of the nicest hats I have ever owned. I figured a large would work, but ordered the XL. The sizing inserts work well. My next order will be the Large. I fully intend to order several more. The quality is beyond great. I see good comments on their service, if there is ever a problem. American made!

Every where I go while wearing my American Hat Makers-Bravo Braided Band; I get either complimented on it or asked of where to buy one. Amazing craftsmanship and high quality leather, comfortable doesn't even begin to describe how they feel on your head. Make sure to measure your head if you don't know your hat size because these hats are true to size.Amazing quality and very durable, after a couple months of wearing its completely held it's shape. Can't say enough good about my purchase with American Hat Makers.Had a small issue with the included sweat band wearing out but they had me a new set in the mail within the next day. Amazing customer service, if I could I'd give them 10 stars out of 5 for quality and service.

I was looking at hats from other companies at a lower price point, but discovered American Hat Makers on Instagram. After receiving the hat, I am very happy with my purchase. The hat is very well crafted with good leather. Sizing is correct and I didn’t need to use the inserts. I am a baseball cap person every weekend, but this might be my new weekend hat. Very stylish!
