This is a nice size bug zapper. It’s really had its job cut out for it in Texas. We had lots of rain in the spring, which brought lots of mosquitoes. My family was getting eat up by mosquitoes until I bought this. Now we can sit by the pool & relax. It has a nice bright light & looks nice. The zapper does make a lot of noise, but not too loud. We love the sound of it for some reason. I guess it’s satisfying knowing it’s doing its job. In two days it’s covered in bugs & is black. I use the brush that comes with it, plus use my leaf blower lightly to clean off the grids & it’s off to work again. It has an on at dusk button or it can stay on constantly. I love this option. It works well. Mine is set to go off at dawn & on at dusk. It never fails. Great product even if it only last 1 summer. It’s totally worth every penny, but I hope it works alot longer than that. I like this zapper. It has a sliding tray to clean the bugs out. Others have a tray that you have to turn to remove. And it works to rid our back yard of mosquitos. It gets rid of moths too. The only issue is the light sensor cover. It's translucent and does not block out the light so the sensor is always on. I had to use electrical tape over the cover to knock out the light. Enough to take off a star. update: The bug zapper stopped working and so I thought the bulb was bad. I tried to take the bulb out but the pins were rusted into their sockets. I managed to get the fluorescent tube out but the base is still stuck in. The whole thing is a big waste of money. update2: I contacted the seller and after a couple of exchanges due to language difficulties, I managed to tell them the condition of the zapper. They promptly sent me a replacement. I will say that after the first unit rusted at the socket terminals, I sprayed an anti-rust agent used on battery terminals on the bulb terminals to prevent the rusting from occurring again. I would advise everyone to do so. Hopefully the second unit will not rust when I need to replace the bulb.

This bug zapper is the best at keeping bugs away for outside space. In Colorado with all the rain, we had so many little nats, biting flies, and just little flying pests. We would try to sit outside and something would bother us. We’re smacking at our legs and arms and swatting around our head. It was so annoying. Sporadically, you would hear an ouch because of those dam biting flies. Let’s just be honest and say it was the best time sitting in our outside back area. I would constantly swatting the biting flies off our dogs as they tried to relax. With in one night yes everyone ONE night of use there was a dramatic decrease it flying bugs outside. We could all sit out back with out the annoying flying pest and with out any pain of biting flies. It was the best purchase!!! Unfortunately, we hAve to return because if you have pets be aware this may tramatize them to the point where they will not go outside by themselves. That is what happened with our Great Dane. He saw and heard it in use twice jumped up like a cat and we had to retrain him with patience how to go back outside. We had to return and put this away out of sight and he gained his confidence back. If you don’t have scared dogs that may become traumatized I would make sure you purchase this for your outside space. You will not be sorry!!!!

Had a gnat infestation. Nothing else helped rid them from my home. Bought this, plugged it in and it started zapping those pesky pests immediately. Problem solved! Only gave 4 stars because the light sensor doesn’t work and it stays on in the daylight unless I unplug it. No problem since I will only be using inside. Otherwise it works as advertised. I don’t know how well it would do outside since I’ll probably never use it outside. It’s a money saver for me as I will no longer need to buy sticky fly sticks and those sticky window sheets that never trap all of the flying insects inside the home. 5 stars! Light sensor works just not in my house because it doesn’t get enough sun light in the daytime.

Not meant for Indian conditions…when it was ordered, it was nowhere mentioned that it can’t work without step down transformer. However when we noticed this requiment, we procured it at our end but involved time lapse. And by the time it was arranged, we found that it is not functioning. But then the time period for refund was over amd there was no forum where we could contact for our grievance and/or support on this. Overall, sad experience
