Best deal on a Counter Top Compost Can!
I was looking for a counter top coffee grounds/egg shells/food scrap vessel. 100s of these on the market. This one was the best deal overall, and was just a few dollars more than like units. But the bonus items make up for that. Easy to clean and light weight. The time it takes to fill it is yet to be determined, as it just went into service. This will be the coffee ground egg shell can. And it looks great on the counter! No smell either! The charcoal filters are very effective. 1.3 gallon capacity is the perfect counter top size too. The book is a nice bonus! It has a lot of really good information on composting and the how to's and whys. The filters should last this unit a year or more. Overall I am happy with this compost can. This combo deal fit the bill and didn't break the bank. And it looks great on my counter!

Great addition to the kitchen
This product is as described and met my expectations. I especially appreciate the inner plastic bucket that keeps the metal bucket clean and protected from food acids and eventual rust. Some complain that the bucket is quite a bit smaller than the outer container, but I believe this encourages more frequent emptying and less potential oders from decaying food matter. Considering the extras bundled with this kitchen compost bucket, I consider this to be a good value for the money spent.

The top didnt fit tight. However, the company offered to relace the order.

Excellent addition to our kitchen
We're loving the compostizer combost bin! It looks nice, it's sturdy, it keeps the smells and bugs away and, best of all, it really easy to open and close the lid. What we were using before required two hands to open and close and it became a burden to put anything in it. I also like the removable bucket on the inside for taking things out to the yard and easy cleaning. Buying another one for a house warming gift.

Decent lil composter
Showed up with numerous small dents all over it. I didnt realize there are 3 layers of filters that will need replacing. Finally the plastic insert is a decent amount smaller then the metal outer container is and slides around in there so I'm thinking it's not even a full gallon size with all that. The thermometer works great as soon as I touched it the temperature started to go up so at least that works good. I fell for the design and the issues its priced a bit high.

Better than anything else I've found in 2 years of searching for a new compost bin!
I've been looking for a compost bin like this one for a long time. Unlike most stainless steel bins, it comes with an inside bucket that holds your food scraps and keeps the stainless part from corroding. The inside bucket is designed to be used without a compostable bag, but you can easily choose to use a bag and tuck it down into the stainless bin so it doesn't stick out around the rim. This has always been my biggest complaint about the other stainless steel bins - you can't protect the bin with a bag without the bag sticking out and looking ugly! Also, the dual filter system is brilliant. I don't understand how the little hole-screens work, but they do! Nothing getting in, no smell getting out! But there's enough air circulation that the compost doesn't go all funky. There are only two things that could be improved: 1) the inner bucket isn't designed to fit perfectly in the outside bucket. It could be quite a bit bigger if it had straight sides instead of tapered sides. So, if you're using the inner bucket, you don't really get the benefit of a full 1.3 gallons. I don't really mind this - it's still big enough for a week's worth of compost in our 2-person household. 2) the handle on the inside bucket is a bit loose - it might not stay put if you were using it frequently. This also doesn't matter to me, because I removed the handle so I can tuck my compostable bags down around the edge of the bucket. So, I give it five stars! It's a huge improvement over anything else I've found, and I've been searching for a better compost bin for about 2 years now!

Dissatisfied
I’ve had this several months and have liked it other than how it left marks where it sat. I put plastic underneath it. I’m Leary of this being stainless. Every thing it brushes against gets marks on it. I laid the top down on my counter, for 30 seconds while I was cleaning the rest of it and it left marks that were near impossible to get out. I got a major infestation of fruit flies out side and hundreds of egg like things on the inside, it was gross. I had the two charcoal filters in and the dots on the top too. Can not recommend.

and looks really nice with the rest of our stainless steel appliances
It's small enough to fit on the counter under the upper cabinets, and looks really nice with the rest of our stainless steel appliances. Even though I've had some pretty pungent onion bits in there, I can't smell a thing, even after a few days. There's a bit of setup with putting in the seals for the holes at the top and the two carbon filters, but it doesn't take more than ~15 minutes or so. I'm also using compostable bags rather than the bucket by itself, but you could use the bucket without the bags.Overall, I'm really pleased with this purchase, and it will enable us to easily use our new green composting bins from the city. Thanks!
