Fantastic!
This thing is fantastic! You really get what you pay for with this guy- I've picked up a couple others that aren't carbide and while cheaper, they are MUCH more difficult to use and catch a lot. This one cuts through wood like butter!

Exactly what I needed
Quality made, very sharp. I used a torch to clean the debris from the cutting head. Good purchase.

Heavy-duty, but poor finish
This is described as "coarse", which I think is mildly accurate. I used this kutzall ball to test cut some grooves into walnut drawer face frames - creating a "scalloped" appearance. The cut is very rough - lots of fluff from the tearing action of the cutter. This required me to sand each cut by hand. Instead I used a large, dish-carving bit which gave me a much cleaner finish.I think my intended purpose is somewhat different than what most people buy this for - however, I do think the majority of people should be away of the cut finish being very coarse. I'd equate it to 60 or 80g.The ball is also a heavy rotating mass. I used it in my trim router, but it was really heating up.

Quickly tear into your piece
My wife wants to make a candle out of a birch log from a tree we cut down last year. I decided to get this ball to carve out the cavity instead of using one of my discs. I can honestly say, this made easy work of removing material. Attached to my Hercules grinder I carved out the cavity of the birch log in about 15 - 20 mins. I had no issues with the ball skipping or gauging the material.I have always been a fan of Kutzall products. They are the burrs and discs I reach for, whenever I am grinding.

Better than the Saburr Tooth
I am genuinely surprised at the quality of this tool. I used it to grind out the hollow part of a spoon and it worked wonderfully. I did 2 spoons from the same maple board. One board I used the Saburr Tooth sphere coarse and the other I used this Kutzall coarse. I thought based on looks that the Saburr Tooth would do the better job, but actually the Kutzall performed better, both in the speed of material removal and ease of handling. I thought the Kutzall would clog with wood and require cleaning every few minutes, but the opposite was true, it never clogged. The Kutzall actually ground out the wood and it came out in a fine dust, while the Saburr Tooth cut out much larger pieces, but at a slower removal rate. The wood heats up with the Kutzall, but it doesn't burn, at least if you keep the tool moving. I also got the fin Kutzall for clean up and it works well too, just not as profoundly as the coarse Kutzall, which is to be expected. I'm glad I got these tools and wish now that I hadn't got the Saburr Tooth tools.I have a dedusting system and work with the project piece with the Foredom rotary tool right at a point of dedusting suction. I generate a lot of the dust and most of it is captured by the dedusting system, but not all, so be sure to wear a dust mask as well.

Dangerous kickback potential.
The tool is rated for 12k rpm- I have a 1speed 13k angle grinder with 1/4 adaptor. Bear that in mind. I used it on a maple wooden bowl. There is a learning curve as the tool only effectively cuts smoothly in one direction- it shreds and has a very strong kickback with any other directional changes. A very gentle approach with an iron grip are required. I have used other ball grinders specifically for angle grinders and had an even worse experience. The kutzall can at least leave a semi-smooth surface after getting the hang of it.If you already have the correct tools to accept a 1/4 shank, hopefully you have a better experience. I also purchased the kutzall fine round cutter- those clog up almost instantly and if not caught in time will burn the wood.
