This is essentially a long, serrated bread knife with a coarse and finer serration. The length and super comfortable handle make it perfect for cutting rockwool insulation. It's easy to handle and looks great. The included sheath is a nice touch though this wasn't particularly useful for me. In any case, the knife is nice and sharp and feels premium, appropriate for the price. I'll probably never need to use it again but it made insulating my shed a LOT easier.

Bought this to cut rockwool insulation R15 for my crawl space, I had 28 bundles to work with, each bundle has 12 batts, I’ve cut on tables, concrete and rock, and this knife has done great. I have not resharpened the blade and after 248 batts it’s finally starting to dull. It has 2 sides which I used the “wavy” side for over 80% of the cutting which just slices through with ease, I’m just not flipped it over to use the serrated side. Definitely a great buy!!!
