Great for my intentions. I wanted a knife to take to work to help me with lunch prep or anything I might need a knife for. Bought to keep in my locker. Very basic knives that are extremely sharp out of the box. The pairing knife is what I wanted, the chef's knife was a bonus. Great for the garage or camping kit etc. Full tang and riveted handle makes for sturdy cutting. Wood handle is comfortable to cut with. There's no finish on the handle which I think adds to the gripping stability. A coat of stain will beautify it some.I'd buy again most definitely. Lotta bang for the buck.

These are good for lots of things that you might want a sharp or very sharp. Not terribly expensive relatively. Any place from the kitchen to camping or hunting. And not having to worry about the knife. I bought two sets of these. And three sets of a different maker

I'm buying another set of these.These are like the real old school knives we had at home and I can say they are the best knife I've ever owned.Easy to handle.Don't put these in the dishwasher to make them last although you can but wooden handles last longer if not soaked in water.

The media could not be loaded. It cuts well but actually bends on hard foods like carrots. I would be afraid to use it on something like a winter squash or a watermelon in case the blade snaps and goes flying. I had no issues slicing meat with it. It is very inexpensive and if your needs are small this could work for you.

Had a couple bucks left after placing another order and bought this set of knives for the heck of it... and now it's my new favorite knife..sharp as a razor and the wooden handle fits perfect in my hand.

The knife handle was made of untreated composite wood, which is extremely prone to mold growth. I've already thrown it away due to this issue. The manufacturer should consider using better materials or treating the wood to prevent mold.

Does the job, dulls very quickly

Baby I sliced my fingers all up when the blade barely touched my skin. Sliced through the tough mango skin and pineapple with as much ease as it did my fingers. Best $5 I’ve ever spent.
