I want to use this material to encase servo wiring on my remote control helicopter to protect against abrasion. Is the material abrasion resistant?

Hey brian,Amazon is asking me to answer your question since I've recently purchased f6 loom. I think it should work for what you are wanting. I build engines for offshore powerboats and use the f6 on our custom wire harnesses, as well as wrap stainless braided -16 AN hose to prevent the stainless braided hose from chaffing our fresh paint on the engine, brackets, and accessories. Hope this helps.

Will this prevent a power cord from curling and twisting itself into a braid?

No, this is for pure esthetics. It is very flexible And will not hold back a cable from getting tangled. You would need something stiffer.
