Not the item pictured
My main reason for purchasing this item is for the black plastic protector where the chain connects to the ring. I have a problem with the regular connectors getting stuck on my clothing and eventually creating holes in my shirts. This item does NOT have the black protector as pictured therefore I'm giving it 2 stars.

A little misled
Receiving the product there was a $5 gift card with, I was informed by First Harmonic Limited that it would be activated when I left a 5 star review. I don’t work that way. I love keyback products but this one will not hold more than a few keys and still retract. I was extremely unsatisfied when my key ring came off twice and asked for a refund. First Harmonic Limited Claimed they could not unless I sent the thing back to them and they sent me a shipping label. Being fed up I refused and accepted my losses. However, First Harmonic Limited did send me $5 toward the refund. …I guess I got that 5 bucks they tried to bribe me with after all. I will not use them again.Scott Moore

Old School key reel.
I carry master keys which are costly to replace, so I wanted a key reel that would not fail. The plastic ones would always break, or the flimsy cord would snap whenever my keys got stuck on something. I remembered all the custodians at my schools growing up using way better key reels with metal chains with the massive amounts of keys they had to carry and wanted to find one. This is it.

Fair device for limited load
Arrived as expected and works well with only a few keys. A large number of keys or key ring attachments taxed the recoil spring. Would recommend only for use with about 5 or 6 keys.

Fell apart after a few months

Well built and easy to use
Holds a good weight (I can add my 6 keys and ID badge) without being aggressive on the return if it is only carrying something light weight like just my ID badge. Seems like it will last forever. I have confidence I wont loose my ID card, even when wearing it on my motorbike.
