Great for Ink Swatching
I purchased this paper to create a Fountain Pen Ink Swatch Book. The paper is divine and takes ink wonderfully. I’m aware that there are preprinted ink swatching options available but I wanted to create a disc bound book that allowed me to add new inks while keeping my organization structure.TL;DR The paper is a great value, the size is perfect (I have the paper in A5 and A4 sizes to meet my needs. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the paper takes ink.

Gold standard
This is the gold standard for fountain pen users. Great for felt tip art pens, too.

Great quality
Excellent paper for Bible journaling, super thin and absorbent of ink. Closest paper to bible paper. Highly recommended

Fountain pen notes
This is; in my opinion, the paper for notes. Fantastic selection for fountain pen use, especially. Very enjoyable experience.

I am not sure if this is the right 52 gsm Tomoe paper
The Japanese company which made Tomoe River 52 gsm paper once made a paper that my printers could not handle, even in the Canon printer which I bought from England which was rated for 52 gsm, a thin paper. (I don't think that printer is still available for sale.) Then the manufacturer changed the paper formula & the new paper worked in that printer. But soon they quit making that paper. Then apparently the company sold the paper to another company, which now is making it again, but I think that this third paper has a different UPC code on it. So there are to my knowledge 3 different UPC codes representing 3 different papers. I have yet to test the newest version. This paper is made for fountain pen, not for printing, but if it works it my printer, I will use it in my printer when I print out a Bible which requires thin paper so the Bible is not too huge. 52gsm is not as thin as "real" Bible paper. But so far as I know, real Bible paper is sold only in huge sheets made for offset printers, while I am printing with a desktop printer designed for 8 1/2 x 11 paper or A 4. (I am using A4 because my source of 8 1/2 x 11, stopped selling that size. A4 is a little longer than 11 inches & a little narrower than 8 1/2 inches. A4 is a British standard of paper, probably also world wide (outside USA).So my 5 Star rating may be wrong for the latest version of the paper, which I have not tested.

Handles fountain pen ink beautifully, and comes with it's own blotter page!
This is my first Tomoe River paper pad -- I have used Rhodia pads for use with my fountain pens in the past... but wow, I really love the quality of this paper within the pad! It is so thin and smooth and has zero bleed or feathering even with very flowing ink and broader nibs. I love that these pads come with a blotter page as the first page of the tablet. The blotter feels like a washi paper and is super absorbent. It looks like tissue, but is very strong. If you are going to shell out $$ for a quality writing instrument and quality inks, you should provide those tools with quality paper-- and this Japanese made pad has it.
