This item was purchased because I had constant feces leak. I needed something that wouldn’t allow the feces smell to escape and permeate the air where I was located. In the past I had my bag blow up from immense gas, or a very large amount of feces depositing in my bag and weighing it down. Due to the amount of feces in the bag, it would pull off the adhesive and the bag would explode. I would have brown feces everywhere and the smell would make people run. This occurred while I was eating chicken fettuccine at Olive Garden. As I was eating my salad, I noticed a slight smell of feces as I moved to take a drink of my sprite. When I looked down towards the floor, the smell increased. As I stood up to go to the restroom to change my bag, feces had escaped and soaked through my white polyester pants. I quickly grabbed the dark green linen napkin that Olive Garden uses and wiped the feces off of the top layer of my white polyester blend pants. The more I wiped, the worse it smeared. My boss and several employees had to leave our meals at Olive Garden and go. All due to my bag exploding and feces being all over my pants and booth seat, some feces had dripped onto the floor where I had dropped the remaining bite of my garlic bread stick. When I was able to go back to our office bathroom at work, the adhesive had come loose on one side of my bag and that is where the feces had escaped. After this occurred numerous times at work on our dinner breaks, meetings and reunions, my fellow employees chipped in and bought me these extender tapes to secure my bag better. So far they have worked very well. We went out to Twin Peaks for our dinner break last night and this was the first time that we were able to stay and finish our meal without feces escaping from my bag.

The strips are difficult to remove from your skin.

I am a plus size female and these work great. I've ordered them multiple times. I have a fat tummy and I use them to hold everything in place along with my ostomy belt. Great adhesive. They stick to my skin very well. I found that if I warm it with a blow-dryer first it sticks best. I use these on one side now and the Y shaped strip near my belly button. This one will often lift where there is space over belly button and lead to leakage. Wearing a belt helped a lot with that too. I started wearing a bag with tabs.
