Wow, I'm really impressed with this product. I've been using the facial resurfacing compound for several months and love it; I'm not beginning to take care of the rest of my body in the same way. My décolletage has been ignored for 46 years and this along with tretinoin is really making a difference. It was a little harsh for my neck (but most things are- for reference I can't even use 0.1 tretinoin on my neck - I use OTC retinol) I'm going to continue use on my neck but every other night and sandwiched with a good moisturizer.

I have a small of amount of bumps remaining on my upper arms after having a bad case of Keratosis Pilaris (KP) that lasted years but largely cleared up last year.* This U Beauty Resurfacing Body Compound made the bumps flatter and dried even after just the first use. My initial impression was that it seemed like I had wiped my arms with rubbing alcohol. I’ve also applied the compound to my elbows, and they feel smoother after I moisturize. Based on my use, I feel this compound helps exfoliate rough skin and can dry out and improve the appearance of bumps that may be KP. However, while I’ll use this compound for discrete problem areas as needed now and then, it has too much denatured alcohol (5th ingredient listed) for me to use it regularly even though it also contains some good moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid and glycerin. This compound seems strong and has effective ingredients that may improve the appearance of KP, such as chemical exfoliants (high on the ingredient list) that get rid of dead skin, retinol that improves cellular turnover and so on. However, it has too much drying alcohol for regular use on my dry and sensitive skin. And too much alcohol isn’t good for any skin type (per Paula’s Choice and many sources) as it compromises the skin barrier. So far, my sensitive skin does tolerate this compound in limited amounts on small areas of my body in that I’ve not seen or felt obvious irritation. Plus, I feel I do get some benefit even using it only in limited amounts. I like it enough to recommend it as a treatment to use as needed at times, but I wouldn’t slather it all over or use it routinely (which I’d need to do in order to gauge benefits such as skin brightening). I’m taking off one star for having too much drying alcohol. 4 stars. *I assume the bumps are residual KP but have no way to say for sure. Either way, the bumps seem smaller and smoother. I can’t say to what extent this would have helped the bad case of KP I had until last year. However, while I’ve read diet isn’t relevant to KP so this may be coincidence, I’ve only gotten KP when I’ve eaten poorly and gained a lot of weight and it only clears up when I change my diet and lose the weight (which has taken years sometimes). Not even prescription lotion has gotten rid of it for me.

This compound works well on KP I have on the back of my arms and legs. I applied every other day because I have sensitive skin and didn’t want to overdo it. After three applications, I noticed a dramatic difference in the areas where KP has been bothering me. I’m sure as time goes on and with continued applications, I’ll see even better results. I applied it to my clean, dry skin. After applying, I waited about an hour before applying my moisturizer. The instructions state to wait an hour to fully absorbed. EXPIRATION DATE: NONE! I always check for expiration dates before using, ESPECIALLY with health & beauty products. The expiration date tells me whether a product has been sitting somewhere on a shelf or an idea of when manufactured for distribution. This product does NOT have an expiration date, likely because it is not required. It is a bit pricey, which is a huge factor when I choose products, but for a professional brand product that gives exceptional results, I realize I will have to pay a higher price.
