FSA BB30 Bearing E0019 Removal Tool - Silver

I’m sure this tool works fine on some BBSAs another person said and I can confer this does not work with 30mm RaceFace BBs.I bought it anyway just to test and it’s no good for this type of BB.

Use a small drift with this and it does the same job as the £47 park tool version. Buy this instead. A few strikes of the mallet and bearings were out.

I was considering buying a more expensive tool that included handle or cup, but in the end due to the price difference I went with this simple option. It works fine.To push it out I purchased a small wooden stake (was actually the handle of a sink plunger from a DIY store).I turned the bike over since I don't have a maintenance stand which worked great as I could keep resistance on the bike with my legs.I held the tool in place until I placed the wooden spike against it, then held the wooden stake instead.Then with a little hammering the ball bearing came flying out of the frame.No need for anything fancier than this, works a charm.

Very simple tool to use. I'm guessing you could improvise something similar for free. Though, if you're working on bikes regularly this will save you time and stress. Bearings popped out with one strike. You need to place the tool in the bottom bracket then strike with a hammer (you can't reach tool directly it's too short be design, so use a punch or similar as an intermediary).

Great little tool and good value. You do need a hammer and punch but it was easy to find something that would work. Took very little time to remove the old bearings.

With my raceface mtb bb cup this tool does not work. there is not enough clearance at the rear of the bearing to allow the tool to fit, instead it overlaps the cup (holding the bearings) and pulls that out too. reverted to wd40 and gentle tapping with a screwdriver and hammer. worked well and simple.

Easy to use , and did the job

BB30 bearings, came out, frame fixed and now back in. Simple and does exactly what I wanted.
