All I can say is that I wish would've bought these years ago. The old type crimp pliers can't even compare to the precise crimp quality that these things produce every time. The crimp quality is spot on every time, plus the grip & easy of use ratcheting action is very comfortable & functions with ease. This item is definitely a tool to get if you're looking to upgrade from the old worn out cheapo crimper's.

Great for heatshrink couplings. Works as advertised and color coded slots are a plus. Recommend.

I've only done a few crimps, but wow. These things make crimping so much easier than using the ones on my wire strippers. It's also a feels like a more durable & stronger crimp. It's basically a flat block making the connection, so you get one crimp to cover a wider area, making a crimp that looks nice. I didn't have to do any adjustments on my pair. They did a great job on the default setting. However, it looks like adjustments could be troublesome since the wheel is too close to the handle. It allmost looks like you will need to cut a bit of the handle away to make it work. Speaking of the handle, it is a thick material, easy to grip, and mostly comfortable. The ratchet function works well. But if you get the handles too close together, you're not getting your finger on the release switch to open them back up. I was able to get a screw driver in there. If you can't do this, you have to continue squeezing the handle and finish the crimp, regardless of whether it's the crimp you want. Not sure if the release is how others are designed, but seems like the release should sit a bit further back. Overall, at $15 and the minimal amount of crimping I do, I'm satisfied with these. If I did a lot of crimping, I might look for a better pair. If you're a weekend warrior, you should be satisfied.

These are excellent crimpers a good bang for the buck. Well constructed and great for the tool pouch or toolbox. I highly recommend for all electrician's and apprentice's and automotive techs. As with all tools take care of and they will last a long time.

A must for crimping butt connectors; the jaws are perfectly aligned. I do a fair amount of electrical work on my cars; these crispers are a MUST have tool. Recommend +10

I'm building panels to incorporate solar and a quality crimper is a must. Connections need to be well made and hold up. I made some test crimps and the crimper performs admirably, it's easy to use and the ratcheting ensures that the crimp holds. Very happy with the purchase and will update with photos when the panels are complete.

Seem so be a fine tool, does the job well. Taking two stars off for selling a definitely, positively used set as "new".
