Wonder powder
My 5 lb, 11-year-old teacup Chihuahua had breath that could've been labeled as a biological safety hazard. We almost lost her to anesthesia when she was spayed, so she's never been able to get her teeth professionally cleaned. We've tried a multitude of products: doggy toothpastes, tartar-removing foams, sprays, dental chews, and drinking water additives. NONE helped. Attempting to brush her teeth was always harrowing, as she is so tiny and convinced we're trying to kill her each time the toothbrush appeared. She fights like a wee demon and gets out of whatever we wrap her in. It's a harrowing process and we worry she'll have a heart attack during a brushing. And then, during one of my many research attempts for a better way, I tripped over this product. I gave it a fair, 30-day try before writing this review. Her breath still stinks, but it doesn't smell as though she has a wet rotting corpse in there anymore. This is a vast improvement, and I expect another 30 days of use will cause even more. The thick cement-like build up of tartar was softened to more of a thick paste on one side, which means she's actually removed some of it on her own, by eating dry kibble. The other side is a bit more stubborn, but most of it was also softened to that point. Again, I expect that to trend to continue with further usage of this product. My tiny girl no longer hides in bed all day, feeling bad, but is more active and interested in being in the middle of everything again. It was such a welcome change for her, and relief for us, that I ordered again, and I'll keep ordering. This stuff WORKS, y'all. She licks her bowl clean of the powder, so it tastes good too. I split the full scoop in half for her two daily meals.I was literally at the point of thinking I needed to let her go due to constant mouth pain and infections ruining her quality of life, so ProBioraPet Oral Probiotics for Pets was a life-saver.My other two dogs don't have nearly as bad of issues with tartar as she has, but I'm going to start them on it too, so they never get to the point she did. This is absolutely a fantastic product, and the current under $18 price is easy on the bank account as well.Try it, especially if you also have a tiny dog that can't handle being put under for professional teeth cleaning.

Great product - but this is NOT a substitute for Veterinary Dental Care for your pet!
4th (and final) Update: I decided to try ONE more time with my one dog whom I felt was allergic - just to make sure, as we are so pleased with the "bad breath" results we've had with our other dog. Bad idea. :( This time - the allergic reaction was SO bad, it required 2 veterinary appointments, a lot of antibiotics (cephalexin) & topical ointment, weeks of misery and a rash that look like she had walked through a fire. My other dog still tolerates the product - however - as I've stated previously - this is NOT a substitute for dental care. While his breath has been fresh (and I do not use this continuously - only every other 2 weeks or so), his teeth are badly in need of cleaning. This does NOT prevent tartar or plaque - which can only be removed by a skilled veterinary team. Because he is 13 & fighting a terminal battle with degenerative myelopathy, the anesthesia would be too high a risk, and teeth cleaning is out of the question. I wish this prevented tooth decay - but it ONLY addresses breath. Do not use this as a substitute for getting your dog's teeth cleaned.3rd Update: One of my dogs has developed a pretty severe rash in the groin area, upper abdomen and under her armpits, and I suspect it's related to the use of this product. :( Doing my research on the ingredients - as is my veterinarian. Will update again soon. Ugh.2nd Update: My dogs' breath continues to improve - to the point where there is almost no detectable smell. That said, it is NOT a way to remove tartar from teeth - that can only be removed by your veterinarian (or by yourself if you're good with dental tools). Lastly - know that you do NOT get a full container of product. When you receive the product, and open - you'll find the probiotic powder fills about 1/3 of the container. The size of the container is pretty deceiving. I continue to be impressed by how well this product works, but will still be taking my dogs to the vet for dental cleaning.Updating my original review: This product has made definite improvements in my dog's bad breath. Her teeth are noticeably whiter, as well. I will continue to use this product. That said, I noticed when reading through the info here on this page, that the company claims this will eliminate costly anesthesia dental cleaning. This is a very irresponsible claim. This product CANNOT remove tartar on your dog's teeth, nor will it clean up under the gum line, where dangerous bacteria lurks causing periodontal disease. The ONLY way to to take care of your dog's teeth is to have them professionally cleaned by your veterinarian, and then to do your best to keep your dog's teeth clean. This product will help control the bacteria causing bad breath in your pet - but it is NOT a substitute for having your dog's dental care performed by a veterinarian. Many times, dogs need to have teeth removed - meaning they are in PAIN. If your dog has bad breath - then they have dental issues. This is only one small way to help your dog - it does not replace a dental cleaning!

1/4th cup of product
Literally laughing at the packaging. Look at the box size to the jar. And then the jar was MAYBE half full. 7 inch tall box. 3 inch tall jar. for 1/4th cup of product.

Really helps my dogs breath.
Even though I have tried to brush my 3 dog’s teeth with enzyme toothpaste daily , they still had horrible breath. I also have their teeth cleaned yearly. This product has really decreased their halitosis. They eat it well so it must not taste bad and I haven’t noticed an odor to the powder. A little expensive when using for 3 dogs. I would recommended for dogs with horrible breath issues!

Dental care is very important to us.
We were pleased that this product had no odor and no taste, so it’s very easy to add on top of food. My dogs had no issues eating it, including my one with a very sensitive digestive system. We brush our dogs teeth every evening and that definitely is the big winner in dental care but adding this supplement helped cut down the bacteria in their mouth. Our one drawback is the standard amount recommended for all dogs. We have tiny dogs and the amount in the individual packages was a lot to add to one feeding. Overall, we are happy and would recommend!
