Sounds great, excelkent value
I gad the 500 chicken head version and loved it, it got fried in a lightingstrike. This new version is louder, better looking and sounds great. I use it for a jazz band and also gig with it for an original Rock band. It excels in both. I also run a DI out directly to the board . The combo speaker outs are a plus, tuner works great. The tuner does not mute the DI so beware. Fan is still loud but functions to keep it from crashing so no real complaints. I run it thru either a SWR 4/10 or a Peavey headliner 2/10. Tone shaping is great the knobs do affect the sound in a full spectrum way. The boost switches are all significant as well. If you cant get a good tone from this amp , maybe switch to tuba

Not durable
Didn’t last 4 months and crapped out. Had to ship at my cost for warranty repairs, don’t have it back yet or even know what the problem is.

Excellent price point for the product and its usage!
The sound quality and the amp's functionality makes this one heck of a bass amplifier. Although I must mention that the fan is quite loud and annoying after a while.

It does what it is said to do.
I ordered this to supplement the occasiona bass gigs I am taking back on. It has a tuner and all the features you need to get going. One thing I didnt like was the output for patching into a p.a. system. It has a pre and post button, BUT doesn't indicate which is which when open or pushed in. I have spoken with technical division at Peavey and an glad to announce that on the pre and post positions are as follows:out = prein = postI like the dual speaker outputs, 1/4" phone or speakonComes with a little carryig pouch, I will be looking for a better padded one or getting a pelican type case from Harber Frayt .

Adequate and punchy!
I've been playing local clubs many years. As I get older, I've been looking for an update, a smaller, less weight amp would be ideal. Think I found it. This amp is punchy and great lower responses and tone controls to get exactly what I'm looking for. Psycho-Acoustic Bass Enhancement adds a lot of PUNCH, I like it. Chromatic tuner is very handy and works very well. Powers up my Peavey speaker cabinet with one 15" Peavey BW 1508 4 ohm speaker with plenty to spare. All under 5 lbs.
