Proper dog bowl!

I have a staffie that tends to push his bowls around the kitchen which totally puts him off eating as it's too much faffing for him. This looks smart, easily cleaned and he isn't able to move it which is awesome so he has been happily enjoying his meals. Also as said, it is easily cleaned - we made the rookie mistake of having a plastic bowl which became scratched up over time from his teeth and I noticed he was getting some spots on the lower part of his mouth, looked it up and it turns out it can happen with plastic bowls due to bacteria so am really pleased I changed. For people talking about a slimy feel on the bowls, its your dogs drool. I promise you. I have a similar water bowl for my dog and it has always happened but if you take a decent scrubber and some washing up liquid (or just chuck it in the dishwasher if you have one) and give it a good scrub with a decent layer of washing up liquid on it to cut through the drool and hot water to wash it off after you will find it comes off nice and easy and the bowls no longer feel slimy at all. I got the same issue when I had to use a casserole dish for his food bowl as well. It's gross but hey ho.

I bought this for my 16yr old yorkie, he had numerous Health problems and kept throwing the stainless steel water bowl across the floor,spilling it repeatedly, so I opted for a heavy one, sadly I had to let him go on 9th Jan and the bowl arrived after. But it is very strong, and fairly, heavy so a 4lb little scrap like Pixieboy could not really move it the same as he could the one he had. I reccomend this, my Jrt is using it now and then for food. Its not enormous but within reason for a toy or small dog.

This is a good-sized and beautifully presented bowl. My only gripe is that the product's sticker was on the inside of the bowl rather than the base. It was so stuck that only some of the sticker came off, and the bowl has required a couple of long soaks and vigorous scrubs to make the bowl safe for use. Impractical as we needed an extra bowl prior to going away while the cat fountain wasn't working, but we were unable it to use it as we couldn't clear the residue in time.

I like the style, it's nice! About the dimensions, I read them in the description so I knew what to expect, because when I first saw the photo I thought it might be quite large, but it's not. I saw people complaining about a sticker on the bowl on the review, but I found it was super easy to remove if you do it slowly (like you would removing any sticker). I'd say don't wet the stickers to remove them, unless you didn't manage to take of the sticker cleanly when dry - I had to remove ones that were on the side and bottom with water because I didn't see them before washing the bowl so they got wet, and they took longer to remove because the glue took time to fully get off once wet.

Ive given 3 stars because the packaging wasn't damaged. However the 18cm dog bowl is cracked from the top of the edge of the bowl (which has been reglazed over) to almost the opposite side. Sadly the crack was hidden under the sticky label!! It's not safe to return in case it breaks in transit. This is not what I expect from Mason Cash products. Ive always received perfect products in the past. I paid for a defective product which should have been rejected from sale.

We have a lot of different dishes for our dog: stainless steel ones, plastic ones, ceramic and pottery ones.. I like this one the best though. It's heavy so it doesn't go skittering around the floor, it cleans up really nice in the dishwasher (you do wash your dogs dish, don't you?). It's very attractive whether you go for simplistic modern or very traditional. Santa might even bring a spare for a doggie stocking i like it that much. Cons: yes it's breakable like much of the good things in life, but its so much nicer than plastic !

I could feed my dog out of a tramp’s shoe and he’d eat it so he doesn’t care, but I like the look of it.
