The original water filter.
I was interested in a water filter after listening to Gary Null. I noticed Alex Jones is selling a similar looking unit. Both personalities seemed to take this filter and slapped their names on it and charge a mark up! I feel the water quality is better using the filter with the 5Ga plastic spring water we have delivered to the house. It doesn't improve the taste of our tap water though.

Removes Water Conditioner Salt Flavor
Arrived dented and isn't the large capacity unit. My fault for not reading the detailed description. Our water conditioner back-washes every other day and the first water out of the tap can be salty, which does not make for good coffee or pain drinking water This filter removes that salt taste. I separately purchased a stand, which is needed and chrome tap to make it look nice.

Fresh sparkling water!
I've used the British Berkey for about 20 years, this is my 2nd one, lost the first in a divorce. Very easy to use and clean the filters! Purifies water excellently! Always taste great!

Leaking Spigot
The plastic spigot/spout leaks and is a poor design for the price. I trust the water filtration is quality but recommend upgrading to a metal spigot.

Doesn't work
Garbage dont waste your money this doednt filter it just creates particles that i noticed floating in the water, dont know from what but used water from the sink which was clear. Maybe the ceramic filters?

Comes with a really cheap plastic spout
This cost a small fortune, and then to add insult to injury, I had to upgrade from the cheap plastic spout it came with.

J'ai une fontaine British berkefeld de 8,5 litres dont je suis très contente. J'ai donc offert le modèle plus compact de 6 litres à mon fils. Il en est également très content, le format est idéal pour une personne seule. Savoir que comme pour tous les modèles, le volume utile n'est pas celui annoncé car il se base sur un remplissage à raz bord ce qui est impossible et il ne ne tient pas compte du volume des filtres. Ainsi cette fontaine annoncée de 6 litres permets de tirer 4,5 litres, ce qui est encore une fois parfait pour une seule personne. À noter que commander chez Doulton/ British berkefeld permet d'avoir la version gravée ce qui est plus esthétique et chic !

I love it but I wish the tap wasn't plastic. I'd have paid a bit more for a metal one. where can I buy a metal tap for this filter please? and replacement filters? Thanks
