This stuff works! My Elderberries are ripening this year! This product is not a 100 % effective, but I don't expect that! Last year was ridiculous as the birds were hanging upside down to get every berry. This year they seem to look, pick a few and leave most of it untouched. Success! What my picture doesn't show is the constant movement of the streamers, and they blink in the sunshine!

Wish the width was better. Kind of flimsy. But it has kept pigeons off my patio

We get swallows every year who want to build their nests near the top of my front and back porch roofs on the far brick wall. I had put up some Bird-X netting under the front porch and over the front door that worked for several years but my wife got tired of looking at the netting and the spider webs that were built on the netting. So I got this tape and two sets of Metal Bird Scare Discs Shiny Wind Spinners (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1VJK6V1). I cut several 18 inch pieces of the tape, folded over 1.25 inches of one end and wrapped the folded end with some heavy duty shipping tape, used a one-hole punch to make a hole about 1/2 inch from the fold, taped a penny using more shipping tape to add some weight to the ribbon. I then drilled several small holes spaced about 9 inches apart near the end of the porch roof where the swallows want to nest and screwed a brass cup hook in each hole. Starting from the porch brick wall I put up two ribbons, an assembled Metal Bird Scare disk, one more ribbon (I really wanted to add two ribbons and another assembled Metal Bird Scare disk but ran out of time and energy, will probably add next year). Worked like a charm. The area almost always has some breeze causing all ribbons and Bird Scare Disks to flutter and made the area not a nice place to build a nest. Swallows flew in, noticed all the moving stuff and flew right back out. Did the the same on the back porch near the brick wall where swallows tried to build a nest last year but I managed to discourage their nest building with some difficulty. This year the ribbons and disks worked on the back porch as good as they did on the front porch. No swallow nests=No droppings on the concrete below. I did build three swallow nesting boxes using plans I got online from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and mounted two but neither has ever been used since they were installed four or five years ago.

This ribbon is durable, yet light enough that it moves with the slightest breeze. The year before I used it I didn't get a single cherry. The year I started using it I had them all to myself. Great stuff.

Fairly effective. I watched Birds come through my garden sometimes but most days they would stay away. However I did use quite a bit of the material. It could have helped with keeping birds away.
