💦 Elevate your pool game—cleaner water, zero hassle!
The Skimmie Cyclone is a patented, transparent ABS plastic accessory that fits any 8" pool skimmer basket (basket not included). It turbocharges water flow and suction, improving surface debris removal with an adjustable funnel designed for pools with varying water levels. Ideal for in-ground pools, it enhances circulation and makes pool maintenance easier by allowing clear visibility of trapped debris.

Does exactly what it says it does
Does exactly what it says it does, my skimming time is reduced to a minimum. It pulls large bugs into the bucket instead of floating on top and the small floating Pollen and debris are much less. The only real issue is it doesn't attach to the bucket and the water level has a big impact. It rained a few days and it doesn't work as well until the level lowers.

Amazing !
This is amazing. I was skeptical at first how this would create such a big suction tunnel. Oh it does. I’ll try to post a video later. It’s like a shark on steroids . Great invention! Love it .

Better than other brands for sure
Actually pretty impressive. Favorite part is that we can still use a basket socks to catch the cottonwood and other fine objects which we can’t with other brands. Being clear is another benefit.

Works as stated
Overall good product, the vortex created isn’t constant but it does work as stated. I’ve tried both ways, seems to be efficient upwards but still gets the flow going.

Great
This did fantastic..at cleaning the junk out of the water . It improved the skimmer and I loved how it kept the debris in the skimmer

HUGE DIFFERENCE
Simple design that works perfectly. I have two skimmers, and prior to purchasing these very little surface sediment ever went into my skimmer and could barely see I had any suction. After installing these, it increased my water suction dramatically and everything seems to flow right in. Huge difference in removing any surface material floating on my pool.

Helps but a 1 piece design is likely a better choice.
This helps pull debris into the strainer. However, since it sits on top of the basket instead of being attached, if you don’t run the pump continuously it can become dislodged from the basket and move around inside the strainer housing. My pump is on a timer and the last time the cyclone floated to block the skimmer. I found it by all the air being sucked into the pump suction. I’ll either tie wrap the cyclone to the basket or buy the one that the basket and cyclone are one piece.

Works as advertised but I have mixed feelings
This is an interesting product for sure, and it does work, but not as well as I would have hoped.Let's start with the good. When properly installed it will cause a vortex to form in your skimmer basket. This serves a couple of practical purposes. First it allows you to run your skimmer at a lower flow rate and still suck debris down into the basket. This allows me to divert more suction to my auto pool vac. Secondly, and more importantly, the vortex allows the skimmer to easily suck in the dust and light debris that floats on thr top of the water that just has a tendency to float at the top of your skimmer and not get sucked down. The product works well and accomplishes both of those goals. However, this is not without drawbacks. Most notably, it requires removal of the flap found in most skimmers, otherwise the vortex will flat out just not form, or in my case, when the product is installed upright it physically touches and interferes with the operation of the flap. This is a bit problematic because this flap is there for a reason, to effectively concentrate the skimmers suction to thr top most layer of water, to maximize the range it is able to suck in debris from the top of the pool. To you know, skim the surface. While the vortex does help contract this somewhat, the effect is that objects must get much closer to the skimmer to actually get sucked in. However, it does solve my problem of removing the fine dust particles that tend to float on thr top of the water which was the major reason I bought it.One other thing to note is that at least for my pool, I can only really make use of this product in the up right position. I'm sure that like most pool products this was probably made with larger in ground pools skimmers in mind where mine is an above ground. The result is that when this product is placed in my basket cone down, it's really difficult to get it to form a proper cyclone. The water level is either too high, but if I lower it, the cyclone will form but it then has a tendency to suck in air because the water level ends up so low in my skimmer that any waves in the pool drop the water level in the skimmer to dangerously low levels. But again, I think this has more to do with the design of my particular basket.Over all it works as advertised, but it's not the pancea I was hoping it would be. Solved one problem but caused another.
