This strimmer line has a star-shaped cross section (described as a 'pentagon' in the product description) - which means it cuts the grass more efficiently and cleanly than line with a round cross section. I'm using it in an old Flymo electric strimmer. 90 m should last a few years, and for just less than £8 - great value. One recommendation: when winding the line on to the spool, don't overfill the spool (perhaps half-full is enough). If the line does break, the broken end can be difficult to retrieve if it's buried within a full spool.

Absolutely no problem in suggesting this is good value for the money. If you are tempted to buy a new spool kit (ridiculously priced) rather than re-threading your original spool then you must have money to burn. Excellent value, easy to use and my strimmer is like new. Big Thank you.

Has lasted better than the original cord in my new Ryobi strimmer, would buy again but I think the strimmer will be worn out before I get through all of this cord the way it is lasting.

I have a very cheap rubbish strimmer but this line transforms it for the better. It's very sharp and makes easy work of clumpy grass and weeks. Glad I didn't buy a better strimmer.
