Good eco-friendly alternative to fog machine
The media could not be loaded. Really happy with this purchase. Wanted to get a fog machine for Halloween but was concerned about the impact on air quality/plants/animals and all the reviews about how hot and loud they are. Though more expensive up front, I feel good that this is only adding water to the environment, and figured we'll come out ahead in the long run since this runs on water instead of fog juice. I bought the largest foil pan I could find and it barely fits but works well. It does go through water quickly but our plan is to only run it while we're out there. The mist probably doesn't fill a large space as well as a fog machine nor last as long, but it made 2 kids and a mom happy and added to our Halloween decor. I could also see us using this to cool us off in the summer. Easy to set up.

Perfect for Spooky Halloween Fog!
Used this to create low-lying fog for my Halloween setup, and it worked amazingly well! The mist rolled across the ground just like I hoped and really brought the creepy vibes to life. Super easy to use—just dropped it in water and boom, instant fog. It ran consistently all night and held up great. If you’re going for that eerie, haunted look, this is a must-have!

Fog machine upgrade
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought this to upgrade my fog machine for Halloween, I actually bought two I bought a larger one also and these performed better than expected! Helped to create a good dense low-lying fog that crept through my trees beautifully. Just make sure the water stays above the water level thingy if you are going to run it for a long time

Very cool, but be careful using indoors
This thing is so cool! Makes a lot of mist (I got it for a Halloween party, and kept it as a garden humidifier). Easy to use (keep an eye on it if you're using it in a smaller container, the water empties faster than you'd think), the one drawback if you're using it indoors is it splashes QUITE a bit. You'll need either a very wide container to contain the splashing, or put it in a place where the splashing won't matter. The best setup I've seen is placing it in a closed container with a fan input and vent hose output—that lets you contain the splashing and direct the mist where you want it to go (but again, beware if you're using it indoors; if you have the mist flowing over a carpeted room for a long time, the carpet WILL get damp. Stick to dry ice if you want to do a mist effect on carpet for an extended event).

Fog!
Worked great to help create low lying fog! Had no issues with it and seems more durable than others! Great size and value! Can’t wait until next year to see how it handles storage.

Low laying fog....
Bought this to build a low laying fog box. It sits in a sealed container while rapidly cooling fog in the chamber. Great effect. Couldn't do it without this ultrasonic humidifier!

Completely ineffective
The media could not be loaded. I have used a similar product for the past year to humidify my indoor greenhouse. Unfortunately, that unit - also purchased on Amazon - finally gave out, so I ordered this slightly cheaper unit to replace it. I wish I could upload multiple videos to show the stark contrast in effectiveness between this unit and the original unit, which are nearly identical. The video I uploaded shows this unit doing its best to produce any mist whatsoever. The performance you see is when the ballasts are empty and the unit is at its most buoyant; if I added any water to the ballasts so that the unit was more submerged, there was even less mist. My first photo shows the barely perceptible mist output of this unit through my DIY dehumidifier, which is essentially a water tank with a blower that forces the mist through a PVC pipe. Photo 2 shows the vastly superior mist output of the original unit installed in the exact same way in the same DIY humidifier. The contrast couldn’t be more stark, and I am extremely disappointed with the results. It seems to me that, regardless of the application, this product would be useless for its intended purpose. Save your money and go with another product.

Good for Halloween Fog Machine
Works well just don't touch the disks when they are vibrating! Feels like a shock.
