Bought a Shakespeare Spinning Reel 60 years ago and I still have it. This new one is just as good. Used it and the Shakespeare Pole I bought 60 years ago to catch several bass. It's smooth, and easy to use. Cannot beat it. Better than reels that cost three times as much.

Good reel
This is a seriously nice reel, especially for the price. I had one go bad so I needed a replacement and ordered this not knowing what to expect. It is smooth, takes line on the spool well and casts well. Drag seems smooth too although I haven't fought a big fish with it yet.

Good small reel
6lb spyder wire hangs up often but besides that it's a good reel.

Spring breaks
A have bought two and the springs broke in both. Don’t waste your money. Feels great but is poorly made.
