Awesome Hose!!!!
I am totally in love with this awesome hose! I Have had a few expandable garden hoses that leaked due to being dragged on the ground constantly. Finally, I decided to get a regular hose that is retractable after I am done using it. I knew this would solve my leaking problem because it wouldn’t be dragged on the ground. After some looking around I decided to give this one a try. It looked good and the price was nice compared to some expandable hoses out there. The hose and container was pretty big, but it was not heavy or bulky. It comes with a nozzle that have 10 different spray patterns (jet, cone, soaker, full, flat, shower, angle, center, and mist, etc). They all work really well! Oh and the water volume can be adjusted which I thought was nice. This hose works exactly as I expected! After I’m done watering the plants, I just need to gently pull the hose and it automatically retracts the hose back in very smoothly. Overall, I’m very happy with this garden hose. It is very sturdy and high quality! The length should be good for most people. It works great as expected and once installed makes watering so convenient and easy. And when I’m not using it, it is all tucked away and out of sight and not in the way . Totally recommended👍

Solid Hose Reel for Backyard Use
Installed this in the backyard mainly for watering the garden and doing a bit of cleanup here and there. The rewinding is smooth and no tangles or weird jerks. I like that it locks into place properly, so you don’t have extra hose lying around. The nozzle has multiple spray modes, which came in handy when I had to quickly rinse off the patio furniture after a windy day. Build feels strong, and the whole thing stays in place once mounted. Setup was simple too, which I always appreciate.

Seems like decent quality. Installation is sketchy
**Update 4/21: Glahoden reached out to me to offer assistance and to make the situation right. The interaction was a good one and specific bit size was provided (12mm). I was able to get the bit on Amazon and had success with installation. That said, i would recommend using a 11mm bit for concrete/block installation as the bit tends to bore a wider hole in block. I used 11mm for my second unit with even better success. Both units are now installed and functioning. So far I’m happy with the performance and quality. Both seem sturdy. The included nozzle is high quality as well. The hose retraction is a bit finicky but I find the closer I am to the unit to guide the hose the better. Overall, started with 1 star review and have updated to 4 stars after interaction with the company. Original review: Who in the world has a .47 inch masonry drill bit? That’s oddly close to both a 15/32 or a 12mm drill bit which are both difficult to find for concrete applications. After multiple trips to the hardware store and multiple holes in my concrete block I’m still not quite there. Hoping to get this installed and working but I’m not overly optimistic. This was the first of 2 units that I purchased. I suspect they might both be going back. Beware.

Works well for horse wash station
Update after a couple months use: The spray nozzle did not last long. We like it, but the thumb lever stopped turning the water on. I am getting a little concerned about the “mouth” of the real. It seems to have weakened exposing a metal rod. The hose catch is still stopping it but you can see from the added pictures that it is going in a bit more now. No stars off for now but something we are watching. The unit has seen a lot of direct sun and hot days and so far the housing still looks good. I recently built a new double wash station for our horse farm. So far I’m happy with how this unit has fit into the new build. Easily swivels to the left or right centered mounted between the two wash bays. I went with the 5/8 hose as volume is more important than pressure or spraying distance in this case. I was also hoping the hose would be sturdier than 1/2”. The hose has already been stepped on a couple times by individuals not retracting excess…but no damage that I have found. I originally wanted a shorter hose length but 65 was the shortest available and it has proven to be handy having the extra. The plastic on the unit does seem to scratch pretty easy, even where the hose stopper catches on the face of the reel, but I’m not taking any stars off for that just yet. This is probably getting more use than a typical home user. I’m not sure if a pin was supposed to come for the rod that holds the reel to the base, there is a hole for a retaining pin but one was not included. Again, not really a big deal as I had one that worked perfectly. I have the gray colored unit and it is facing due East so the UV resistance will definitely be tested. I figured black would likely fade to gray eventually anyway. Will update if anything comes up this summer as it gets more use.

Cheap! Don’t buy!
Paid almost $100 and they are terrible! It won’t retract the hose all the way. The ends leak. They are just terrible and very cheaply made. I wouldn’t pay $10 for them! Bought 3 of these and they are all useless. Just unboxed them and it says I can’t even return them!

This is the reel to buy!
I have bought 3 of these. I have had them for 3 years. Very satisfied. I wanted to buy Hoselink hose reels, they are the gold standard of hose reels, but I can’t justify the cost! This hose reel is affordable and functional. I have two attached to my house and one on a post out in the yard.

Good customer service
I purchased this in the fall, but waited until spring to install it. As my home has aluminum siding, I attached a 2x4 to the house and then screwed the mounting bracket to that. I did drill pilot holes and used an impact driver to install the screws and the last screw snapped. I contacted their customer service at the email address in the instructions and they promptly sent a new screw pack via Amazon. After getting it mounted, I tested it out and it works fine. Rewind is smooth and so far no problems.

Plastic cover fades quickly
I bought the 65' hose unit. So far the hose and reel mechanism have been working great. Unfortunately the plastic housing has faded in the Florida sun. It has been roughly 8 months since installed. Hence the 3.5 stars. From day one, I have been applying every couple of months some Turtle Wax Ceramic spray coating to the plastic housing to help protect it from the elements, but nonetheless it has still faded pretty significantly. I can only imagine how much worse it would be had I not been applying some protection. Not sure how long it will last before the plastic housing becomes brittle and starts to crack. I know I'm able to remove it and store it while not in use but that's not ideal when we use this hose weekly to water the plants and washdown/flush our boat and jetski every week or so. It would be nice if they offered a cover we could purchase to help protect it from the elements. Other than that, the reel itself has been great and has had no issues reeling in the 65' of hose. As recommended, we always turn off the water and leave the spray nozzle open as the reel retracts, so that the water inside the hose can escape. If you don't, the reel may not retract the hose completely and you could risk breaking the unit due to the added weight of the water trapped inside the hose. I recommend this reel, just know that it will fade in a short time.
