Good detail…
Detail is good, got a good heft to it. Good size for display. Just one thing, the propellers fall off really quick , and since they are small they get lost.

Great office decoration.
I wanted something to spice up my office a bit, and this looks really good on my desk. The stand is really sturdy and made of metal, which is better than another plane I got first, which had a plastic stand. The P-51 attaches securely to the stand and I'm not worried it's going to fall off. The position of the plane on the stand is not adjustable - it's fixed at the angle you see in the item photos, but it looks great. I'm very pleased with this.

Not bad, but where's the pilot?
OK, let's stipulate that this is a nice fine scale model of a popular subject, with very nice camouflage and markings. So why does it lose a star? Let me explain. There are two ways to display a model aircraft: in flight (wheels up), and on the ground (wheels down, maybe cockpit open). This means that a model like this must have either (a) a pilot - because planes don't usually fly themselves - or (b) undercarriage - wheels, struts, open panels. But this model has neither. You can only display it on a stand, in flight, but without a pilot. That's silly, which is why this loses a star.
