How To Draw Comic Book Heroes

bought for my 11 yo nephew. he loves it, and promises to draw me a comic book in the new year! good looking instructions and clear drawings. nice variety of characters to draw, and generic enough for him to draw his own superheroes. fantastic price. cheers

Excellent book! Really easy to understand and to get going with. Not bloated; only contains the info you need to get going. I have one on Manga (same series) and it is excellent, so we bought this for our 12 year old nephew- he's really into art, and everyone else had bought him pen-sets. His reaction when he opened his present (this book) was wonderful! His sister told me later that he has more that enough pens- what he really needed was some direction in how to draw. I've bought, and seen, much bigger books that contain a lot less information and are, fundamentally, a lot less helpful. This is a great book (as is the series).

Bought this for my son who likes to draw so wanted a bit of help to keep him interested. There are clear instructions and the different heroes in the book keep him entertained and enthusiastic

Got this to assist my teenage daughter (and younger children) with art at home and school. Covers the basics very well.

Bought this as I have only recently started drawing again, wanted something to help improve my skills and saw this and others by the same author and thought they would be a useful tool to help, however they are nothing more than kids colouring in books, at least that's what they look like once you get past the deceptive cover art and misleading advertising blurb, would have sent them back but my friends kid is 5 soon so I'll add them to his presents, so he can use them for colouring on as that is about all they are good for, sure it teaches you how to turn a stick figure into a crude sketch of something using circles and ovals but nothing on shading or anything useful whatsoever, if you're 5 to 10 years old then fine but if you want to brush up your drawing skills and your in your 40s like me then look elsewhere, utterly hopeless and definitely false advertising on the sellers part, still at least my friends kid will be happy
