Very satisfied
I bought this watch to replace my Samsung Galaxy 4 watch. The battery life is enormous. With normal use, it'll last maybe 2-3 weeks. I'm not that active of a person. I'm actually probably not the audience this watch is geared towards but I got it anyways bc I wanted a smart watch that would have a charge lasting more than a day. It does exactly what I want, lasts more than a day. Nice big display. I don't like that the display isn't super bright. However, I actually bought the Forerunner 965 to try out. The interfaces were almost the same, except the Forerunner was more beautiful. When I move my hand to look at the time though, bc the Fenix is a MIP display, it is truly always on. I can at least see it. The forerunner though would be off, sometimes wouldn't turn on unless I wiggles my wrist a smidge. It's something little, I know. But, for my needs (I work in a hospital, sometimes get blood or other patient biohazardous fluids on it during procedures), it works great. I can wash it very very thoroughly. If it can survive 5ATM of pressure it can definitely handle a thorough cleaning. The band that came with it is nice. I usually losen it one or two notches overnight. The sleep tracking, which is not the primary purpose of the watch, is pretty good. I think my old Fitbit Charge 3 was more accurate for sleep timings than Samsung Galaxy 4.... And that was more accurate than the Fenix. But overall, good enough for my needs. It doesn't keep track of naps though. Supposedly there is an update coming soon to fix that. The brightness could be better BUT in direct sunlight I can definitely read it. The built in flashlight is clutch. I love that feature. I don't remember the Forerunner 965 having it but I tried both simultaneously for a week and might have just forgotten. Location is extremely accurate for me. No issues. I only used it near my house. Primarily to track my location to send to wife in case of medical emergencies while walking. Very very happy with it. Again, my use case is slightly different than the typical for the audience this is meant for. I'm not a health fanatic. Just an average person. I walk maybe 2-3 miles a day. I don't go on mountain trails that often. I don't go biking. So I can't really comment on that stuff.

Would recommend! Great watch
This is my first garmin watch and I have literally nothing bad to say about it. I would highly recommend grabbing one if you are on the fence and can find it on sale. It has been fantastic. I have had an apple watch in the past, and to me it was just a bit too gimmicky for what I use. I used to just use a basic timex expedition for my daily wear watch until I got this fenix 7 pro saphire solar. The watch looks great, everything feels smooth and no lag, and even on the smaller size that I got I have no problems reading everything on it. The original band fit fine and is a great band for the water, but I swapped mine for a leather band for comfort at night. The sleep tracking has been awesome for me, and pretty accurate in depicting my body battery for the day. You can get notifications from basically anything, but I just set mine for texts and calls. You can’t respond like an apple watch, but I don’t mind that at all. My watch is my watch, not my phone. Overall just a great purchase for me. I thought the LED light would be useless but I find myself using the red light basically every day/night to get around my house, and the white light is pretty much as bright as my phone light which is nice for quickly lighting something close up. Battery is great too. With my settings I get about 14 days of use before I need to charge it. The great thing is that I can just throw it on the charger when I take a shower and by the time I am done it is mostly charged again. The health tracking is a cool feature as well, though I don’t use it intensively, it is nice for quick heart rate estimates and calorie count.

Badass watch for body building, running, and everything else
Awesome watch for any active lifestyle. It's great with the touch screen, a bright light and it's a big watch for a big personality. The battery life is way better than my old Forerunner. The fit is great for any wrist. It's expensive but with all the bells and whistles I think it's worth it. Great activity settings, especially if your using the Body Building Garmin Coach. It's my primary wearable now.

Took it to Yellowstone, seriously impressed.
I brought the Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar with me on a trip to Yellowstone, and it ended up being one of the best pieces of gear I packed. I mainly got it for hiking, trail running, and general fitness tracking, and it completely delivered. The solar charging was awesome. I spent long days outside in full sun and never once had to think about plugging it in. Battery life is seriously impressive. I also didn’t think I’d use the built-in flashlight much, but it actually came in handy a few times, in the tent at night and digging through my pack when it got dark. The watch is rugged and solid. I scraped it on rocks a couple times while hiking, and the sapphire screen didn’t even get a scratch. GPS was super accurate, and having maps right on my wrist made navigating way easier than pulling out my phone. Even the heart rate and sleep tracking seemed surprisingly accurate. If I had to nitpick, the watch is a bit chunky, not a big deal, just something to be aware of. And the interface takes a little getting used to at first, but once you learn it, it’s smooth sailing. If you spend a lot of time outdoors or just want a tough, feature-packed fitness watch, this one’s absolutely worth it.

I wish I got this way sooner than I did!!
Garmin is the name that you could trust for high-quality GPS electronics. It was recommended to me to get a Garmin watch for more fitness analytics. I chose a Garmin Fenix 7x pro sapphire solar. This watch calculates a have good sleep score and it’s easy to use for all my fitness needs. It fits real well on my wrist, and I wear it all the time. The battery lasts 26 days between charging and has solar charging built-in. For everything they fit in this thing it’s a very high-quality out at a decent price. I would recommend it to anybody. It’s functional and aesthetically pleasing to look at.

Big Upgrade
Purchased this watch to replace a dying Garmin Vivoactive 3. Having some gift card monies to spend, I really wanted a Fenix even though I knew it was much more watch than I really needed. As usual, I over researched watches (reviews, YouTube videos, etc) but narrowed my search to the Fenix 7x Pro and the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Although the Apple Watch is a great watch, ultimately it didn’t meet my needs as much as the Garmin. As mentioned before, the Fenix exceeds my needs but what I’ve experienced thus far, I know I made the correct choice. Naturally because it is a much more advanced watch than my outgoing Vivoactive, the features are more accurate. GPS is spot on, HR is surprisingly good, stairs counter is much more accurate, and the rep counter when strength training is much better. I’ve been using the sleep tracker…I really don’t know the accuracy of the feature but it’s interesting all the same. I anticipate using the map features while hiking/biking once the weather improves. I probably don’t need to mention battery life but this watch is probably second to none. I’m going from charging every other day to going several weeks on a charge. A concern of mine was the case size of the watch. My Vivoactive was 42mm (I believe) and this Fenix is 51mm. A couple coworkers have Apple Watch Ultra 2’s and I thought the size was reasonable at 49mm. Still not certain, I went to a local store that carries Garmin watches and tried on a Fenix 8 at 51mm. My decision was made after that. It is a big jump in watch size but I was able to accustom myself to the watch very quickly. Being a larger case, all the provided data can be viewed easily instead of being smushed onto a smaller screen. My one an only dislike of the watch is the watch band. No matter how tight/loose the band was, the buckle would dig into my wrist and cause discomfort and abrasions. I replaced it with a Hēmsut band and couldn’t be happier. I also purchased a case/bezel cover (ISABAKE) to prevent chips and scratches. Lastly, if can live without an AMOLED screen (Fenix 8), the Fenix 7 line can be had at hundred$ less. I’m not certain but other than the AMOLED vs MIP screen, I don’t think the Fenix 8 offers much more over the 7.

3rd Garmin Fenix, Very Durable.
Excellent watch, long battery life. This is my 3rd Garmin Fenix 5,6,7. All of them are still working. Just gave the 5 away to a friend. Easy band replacement. And I love the flashlight that's built into this watch.

Excellent Multi-Sport Watch—AMOLED Version Might Be the Better Choice
3.5 stars was not an option, so I bumped it to 4. I recently upgraded to this watch from my Instinct 2 Solar, which I really enjoyed. The sale price for this watch made it a good value, and I appreciated that the menu system is very similar to the Instinct, making the transition easy. I’ve also used a Forerunner in the past, and the consistency across Garmin’s interface is a definite plus. However, I do have two main drawbacks with this watch: 1. Display quality: The color and resolution are significantly lower than the AMOLED version. This is due to the solar screen, but I’m not convinced that the solar feature justifies the tradeoff. Garmin’s non-solar watches already offer excellent battery life, as do their Edge cycle computers. If I had the choice again, I’d opt for the AMOLED version. 2. Software support: It seems Garmin has moved on from the Fenix 7X series when it comes to major updates. Even my older and less significant Instinct 2 still receives them, but the fenix 7 series is never on the list for updating. This appears to be more of a marketing strategy than a technical limitation, which is disappointing for a premium device. Other notes: The watch is heavy. I wear it overnight for sleep tracking, and while I’ve adjusted to the weight, it was uncomfortable at first. My Instinct never had this issue due to being much lighter. As an avid cyclist, I really appreciate that this watch functions as a fully capable cycle computer. It connects seamlessly with all the same sensors as my Garmin Edge cycling computer. Wearing it on my wrist, I use it as a reliable backup. A handlebar mount is available on Amazon allowing it to serve as a dedicated cycling computer if desired. While wearing it, it performs well for road and gravel riding, but on rougher terrain, like mountain biking, the weight and bulk can cause it to bounce and vibrate on my wrist to the point that it irritates my skin, an issue I never had with the lighter Garmin Instinct. Final thoughts: This is a great watch in many ways, but I would recommend going with the AMOLED version instead of the solar. Garmin already excels at battery life, so the solar feature feels unnecessary. Also, I wouldn't recommend this model for rough activities due to the weight and comfort issues.
