Great wireless connection
Needed a printer to use wirelessly and this works well. Simple to setup and worth the added price.

Not What you Think
Printer is fine as far as I can tell (only had it a couple of hours) but disappointed with the description which is misleading. I wanted a printer that could print directly on to a CD, the summary quotes "Canon Pixma TS8550 installation guide, CD/DVD holder, CD with software and user manuals" not so, very misleading. Having said that I checked several other Canon printers out filtering "Cd direct printing" on one screen it said they did on another no mention so be careful if this is what you are looking for. Wish my HP hadn't packed in, that was great and used extensively printing Cd's.

300 GSM capable
I have always been a loyal HP user, but when I wanted a printer that could cope with 300 GSM card I had to look elsewhere and Canon came up trumps. Canon's print quality was never in doubt and this printer has proved that. The second feed tray, which allows a straight through feed, can accommodate blank, pre-folded, greetings cards of up to 300 GSM and has solved all my printing issues. Delighted with the product.

EXPENSIVE AND UNRELIABLE
I bought this printer last October 2020 and it has constantly got worse with paper jamming. Doesn't matter which paper I use. I am fed up with removing the jammed paper and now when it does print it's missing the top of the page. Yes, I have registered the A4 paper size which I am using. Also, the paper arrives in the tray with a dob of black carbon.Absolute rubbish for an expensive printer not to mention the rate it gobbles up the ink.

A decent printer for the price.
It's true that you get what you pay for. It's a decent printer. Was easy enough to install and the mobile phone app is good. The scanner feed is good but slow. Same with the printing - especially when printing duplex. It looks smart on my desk, and despite my previous comments, I am happy to use it until it drops.

Quite a cheap feeling product.
Overall it prints - but - it makes a lot of noise and squeaks and rattles. It has a very poor / cheap feel to it. Only room for about 30 sheets of paper also - so overall - not brilliant.
