O'Neill UV Sun Protection Girls Toddler O'Zone Full Suit

The item is advertised as a wet suit but when I received it is says it is a sun suit which is totally different. The material is thin like a rash guard. A sun suit protects you from the sun and a wet suit keeps you warm in the water. Although I want to send it back my husband said since it was not too expensive then to just keep it and he can use it if he decided not to go in the water too much on our upcoming vacation to Akumal Mexico. I still need to go and purchase an ACTUAL WET SUIT just in case our son loves the water. I don’t want him to get too cold.

We've had this and couldn't love it more. We are online now to get a larger size. This product is essentially a full-suit made out of rash-guard material. We got an actual wetsuit for our first and that became a hand-me-down to the second and we have this for our third. We purchased it when it was too big and have gotten several years of heavy usage. We read the other review and, yes, it is not neoprene, but it will keep your brood from getting a nasty sun burn. We live in Southern California and spend a lot of time at the beach. Our kids have been in the water (under heavy supervision) from a very young age. The water in Akumal in January is in the high 70's (about 20 degrees warmer than SoCal) - in that region, the ocean can feel like bath water. For the gulf or Carribean, this would be fine unless your toddler is doing scuba.
