The Cotswolds Map | Burford, Chipping Campden, Cirencester & Stow-on-the-Wold | Ordnance Survey | OS Explorer Map OL45 | England | Walks | Hiking | Maps | Adventure : Ordnance Survey: desertcart.co.uk: Sports & Outdoors Review: Good old Ordnance survey! - I like the fact that when you buy an ordnance survey map these days you get a code that allows you to download the entire map free of charge to your phone or tablet. I used this one on a recent trip to the Cotswolds. The actual map stayed in my bag in case I needed it as a back up and has stayed as good as new while I used the digital version on my phone, with the added advantage that there is an indicator on the display to show you exactly where you are. Review: OS Explorer OL45 The Cotswolds (Published 2015) - If you've used the OS Explorer range before, you are aware of how good they are. They now include mobile download, every time you buy a brand new OS Explorer or OS Landranger map, they give you access to the digital version, by removing the silver scratch off area to reveal a code. The scale is good at 2.5" to 1 mile (4cm to 1 km) at 1:25,000 scale with plenty of information to boot, whereas the OS Landranger offers 2cm to 1 km at 1:50,000 scale.

Old but great
Phones are ok but I'm old fashioned and like to see it printed and in front of me and more detailed than a phone and you can take it any where and it will always be there when you want it, not having to wait for a signal.

Well worth it for level of detail. Bought another through another retailer and thought it was lost. Now happy to have two maps as will cut one down so I can use particular pieces of it for each days walking and then use other map for overall planning.

The OS maps are so well done. I was pleasantly surprised that the map included a scratch off code so that I could download the map onto their free app.....best of both worlds.
