I replaced my mini monitor 7 bookshelf paradigm speakers with these and it’s exactly the upgrade in sound and power I was hoping for. Could not be happier!

I've only had the speakers for a short time. However, because there is no other Amazon review and aren't many reviews anywhere, I'm writing my initial impression, which is pretty simple. I love them (and am a bit surprised by that). As you can see from the photo, I'm using the SE 6000Fs with the SE 2000C center channel, as well as an older Paradigm subwoofer that's hidden in the corner and is out of its class. So, this is really a joint review with the SE 2000C, which I also bought from Amazon. (I'm waiting for the SE Atoms to arrive as surrounds.) The speakers are wired to a Sony STR-DN1040 receiver, and my music is in the FLAC format on a USB flash drive. When I told my wife that I ordered shiny white speakers with black grills, I got The Look, but after they arrived, she changed her mind, and, more importantly, she thoroughly enjoyed the sound, which usually isn't important to her. The Monitors are very accurate and reveal the quality of the recording--good or bad--and you can't ask for more than that. I love 60's groups like The Mamas & the Papas, but they sound only as good as the compressed recording can, and no speaker can undo that.) Using The Chieftains' Irish Evening as a reference, the 6000F have a good sound stage--good vocal and instrument placement, which is easier to determine with live music when you know where they are placed. The sound stage seems better side-to-side (width) than front-to-back (depth), but that might be related their placement in our living room. On a Coltrane's Summertime, I could hear the sax ABOVE the drums, which isn't something that I expected or heard before, and which makes sense; he was standing, the drummer wasn't. They sound great with all types of music--from The Priests' Ave Maria to the Allman Brothers--and sound better the louder they are played, e.g., sound stage and instrument placement improved with volume. (When the pitties move to the other side of the house to sleep, I know it's too loud.) Another quality worth mentioning is their robustness; they sound very good even when not sitting in the perfect, sweet spot. We have a decent-sized house and a relatively open floor plan, and while, of course, you'll lose aspects, like instrument placement, they sound great from the other rooms. That quality has been pleasantly surprising. (I'm writing this from the kitchen and thoroughly enjoying Mozart from the other room. That wasn't the case with my old speakers, which weren't worth playing if not sitting on the right side of the couch. In fact, these sound better in the kitchen than the kitchen's expensive sound bar, which is much closer to me, and originally cost more than the pair of 6000Fs.) By the way, TV dialog is clear. I've had very expensive equipment--McIntosh, Dynaudio, etc--which was fabulous, but these Paradigms sound amazing given their relatively low cost. I've had several other Paradigms that have held up very through time--16 years and counting for an outdoor pair--and the build quality of these Monitors looks solid; so, I anticipate they will last a long time. Can you find better speakers? Yeah, probably, but these are very nice, and I'm extremely happy to be listening to them. For what it's worth, I highly recommend the SE 6000F.

Wish I knew it was only ONE SPEAKER for 549… had to buy another to match. They’re great tho. Better be….

I am really enjoying these speakers. Excellent upgrade over my old Polk RT12 tower speakers. Hearing things in music I haven't heard before. I've only had these for a week, but I've done a lot of listening. These have a great mid-range. Excellent for jazz, vocals, etc. I find they are very clear and accurate. The bass could be a little bit stronger, but I have paired with a small sub in a 2.1 configuration, so it works well together. Depending on your music selection, you may not need a sub. For movies, always yes, you'll want a sub with almost any speaker. These also sound great with newer music too. I listen to almost everything and they haven't let me down yet. I ordered the gloss white version, which I think looks really nice. Modern, classy, and matches our theme very well. The wife approves as well.. One note to mention.. These are very "telling" speakers (in my opinion) and with a poor recording quality, they show the poor quality. To me that means these are accurate and not coloring the sound much at all, or warming it up in any way. I prefer the accuracy over a treated sound that is falsely portraying the music. I particularly love the tweeter. Super clean and clear. Not overly bright.. just right, even for trumpet in a high register, it doesn't get offensive. I have these paired with an Onkyo A-9110 integrated amp. They work well together. The amp has plenty of power for these, and I don't need to get past 50% volume ever. Not a huge fan of the cheap looking feet of the speakers, but for the price, I understand needing to make cost decisions. I'd rather have better sound quality than better feet in the speakers. And these deliver very nice sound. Good packaging from the factory. Nothing special though. Overall I am very satisfied and will be keeping these speakers for years to come.

This is a great deal on top-notch floor standing speakers. Fantastic clarity in the mid to high range. I have a dedicated sub for the lows and the cross over at 85 Hz is perfect with these. I just hooked them up today and am immediately blown away. I may update this review after the burn-in period is over. I foresee them sounding only better after properly burned in.
