Barfly Weighted Cocktail Mixing Shaker Tin, Stainless Steel, Set 18 oz and 28 oz

For the amateur mixologist, getting decent gear is a treat as many cheaper products and kits are thrown together without much thought. Getting a Boston shaker set for Christmas might start the ball rolling but if you want to upgrade your practice, getting a decent tin on tin shaker is a good second step, after swapping out the jigger for a proper measure. This tin on tin (rather than glass on tin) is a properly weighted affair and feels premium and is a nice thing to hold. The seal is very good after a sharp rap on the upper tin and it releases easily with light pressure. Bear in mind that the chilling effect of including ice can create a low pressure (as the air cools within the tin) and this can make it slightly harder to release. Overall this is a great addition to the home bar and I liked mine so much, I've bought another for my son for Christmas.

Newer bartenders might struggle popping the lids open if they are not used to less pliable tins. However, after breaking them in, this issue becomes less apparent. For anyone looking to invest time, and level up their cocktail bartending, I strongly recommend these. You pay a bit more in comparison to other sellers, however, the value for money is unquestionable. I do not worry about the tins cracking, the weighted bottoms coming undone, or the tins becoming overly pliable to the point where they are unsafe to shake with. It's exciting pulling these out for my pals, every time.

Good quality does what it’s supposed to

Reasonable quality. Does not leak when you’re shaking a cocktail but difficult to separate when done shaking.

I'm not a professiona, just a keen 'home barman'. These have a good quality feel, the finish is very good and they have a nice subtle weight to the base. As far as the issues others have reported with the seal being strong: I haven't really had an issue, and my hands aren't especially strong. The seal is certainly easier to break than on my previous french shaker. I'm really enjoying using these and would definitely recommend.

Great value and good quality

Seals really well. I saw one review saying it gets stuck. If you know the technique to unseal it's very easy to seperate, look up a tutorial on YouTube. Excellent, can definitely recommend.

Riktigt vacker shaker men den är lite för styv, Barfly's vanliga rostfria är mycket skönare att använda och koppar finnishen kommer att skava av efter ett tag. Mer en grej du har i hyllan än något att använda till vardags, fast den ser onekligen imponerande ut. Den vanliga är 5 stjärnor så jag rekomenderar den istället.

Boa qualidade

In the description it clearly says Antique copper. I received a shaker that was too big. And shiny metal, very heavy to work and it doesn't say anywhere that it is a bar fly brand. Poor quality
