Have tried plastic ones and they bend. Metal ones are slippery so my stitches tend to slip. These are perfect! No slipping or bending so far and easy enough to still knit with my arthritis.

These are so much better to use than metal needles. The yarn is less likely to slide off, which is something that I had to be mindful of with the metal needles. The wood is smooth and very lightweight.

The second I removed them from the plastic sleeve, I could tell these were of inferior quality. I have a lot of wood knitting needles, and they all feel like "velvet wood"—these feel uneven, and although I don't feel actual splintering, I can tell that yarn will snag. They're being returned.

If you're new to knitting these are for you! The yarn grips and glides across your needles with ease, they're 10mm and perfect. They feel great using and are super easy to use! They were definitely worth the money and the quality is great my 5 year old uses them as drum sticks sometimes.

I bought these needles to knit a lovely summer shawl. Great needles, will use them forever.
