Unfortunately, this product does not cover white/gray hair at all. I followed the instructions carefully, but my white hairs were still clearly visible after coloring. Very disappointing and not effective as advertised.

I'm disappointed in everything from the horrid smell to the overall outcome from this product. Seriously the worst investment ever! Right off, the application is extremely messy and the smell is unpleasant. Imagine draining your nostrils out with a netti pot, bottling the drainage up, and then applying it directly to your hair. That's pretty much what you're getting with this! After sitting for 15 minutes with "snot hair", I was all too ready to hop in the shower and wash it all out... except that it doesn't simply rinse out like normal shampoo. No! This putrid concoction clings to tresses like a sugar baby that's owed money! It takes several aggressive rakes, some cussing, an eviction notice and a good number of legal action threats to get it all rinsed out enough to go back to life with hair that doesn't sever a couple fingers when attempting to run them through it. After all that, I wasn't even satisfied with the result. My hair resembles the color of a weathered coffee table that someone attempted to restore by staining it with actual coffee. I had to blow it out with dry shampoo just to balance out the oily stickyness! I was going to be generous and leave an extra pitty star, but I couldn't find one positive thing to warrant it. I got a bonus application comb, I guess? Save your money. Mixing together horse mucus and old coffee grounds will give you about the same result as this garbage.

I absolutely love this product, and I’ve been using it for several years to cover my gray hairs. I wouldn’t replace it with anything else. My hair is very long, and this shampoo dye keeps it looking evenly black every time. The application is very easy. I use gloves and apply it section by section, especially around the front. The process is quick, but you should take the same precautions as with any regular hair dye since it can stain the skin or nails. The bottle lasts for multiple applications, which is amazing for the price. It has no strong odor, rinses out easily with plenty of water, and afterward I just wash and condition my hair as usual. I typically retouch my hair about once every two months, just to cover my gray strands. It’s truly one of my favorite products.

I have short 3a-3b curls and I had to leave it in for 1-2 hours to actually make the hair dye stay, it stinks and if you put water on it it stinks even more but the smell goes away after a few weeks. Its been over 2 weeks and every time I wash my hair it seems like the dye doesn’t fade or come out. I honestly feel like its stuck in my head and its permanent like forever but thats kind of a good thing. The color had red undertones so if you don’t like red don’t get it. I like it though

It smells really bad! Also turned my hair more red than anything. Only did my roots to cover grays. Well now top of my head and roots are red. The rest is still dark blonde/light brown. Looks awful! It does cover the grays. Been about 4 days now and still holding color. Those are the only reason I give it 3 stars. But the smell and the RED would give it a 1!
