GFT Shaving Cream: Smell is so subjective, so let’s start with the easy bits. It has a pale cream colour and a mousse-like consistency. So, not a solid soap block, but stiffer than a cream. It works up a good lather and is lovely and gentle on your skin. I buy it every year. It’s my number one go-to shaving soap. Trumpers have a long and venerable history - as anyone who has visited Trumpers Barber Shop in Curzon Street, London, will know. Deep in the heart of Mayfair, to walk into Trumpers is to step back in time to a more golden age. It’s a delightful shop that - along with a wet shave - will sell you an array of delightful grooming products. Just how they dragged themselves into the 21st century with purchases online, I will never know, and yet - Trumpers GFT shaving soap has a very modern feel to it. It’s light. Lighter than a sandalwood. It smells great on application but doesn’t linger unnecessarily. Based on their GFT Cologne, it has top notes of bergamot, lemon and mandarin, (and the cologne description goes on to say a heart of tarragon, lavender and cypress on a musk-like base with cedar and moss!) Well … if you can smell all of that you clearly have a first class nose! Me? If I close my eyes, the hint of a distant wild flower meadow gently drifts across. Or maybe I’m sitting under a lemon tree somewhere in the Mediterranean… it is a very subtle and elusive smell, but it does start you on a fresh day with a bounce in your step.

I was determined to get a traditional product for a semi traditional shave. I Shave my head as I'm folically challenged, so I do go through a lot of shaving foams etc. I decided to get an alternative product for my head and wanted to treat myself to a nice product for my facial shave. I'd tried GFT shaving soap before with some good results however one of the ingredients changed and I couldn't get a decent lather that lasted, however that may have been in part down to a poorer quality brush. This is where I decided to go for a shaving cream and I'm impressed. A nice lather from such a small amount, pleasant smell and my face feels nice and smooth with zero dryness or the usual tightness that you can often get with some other products. Highly recommended!

I think it's the best I've had. I must admit every time I order shaving cream I do try and better the previous product.Think now maybe it is time to stick with this . The scent and lather plus the sensitivity on my skin is what I look for. For those who want to give it to someone as a gift ,the box is attractive.

Jeder Mann weiß doch eigentlich, dass der Schaum "sahnesteif" sein sollte und mindestens 2-3 Minuten einwirken muss, um die Bartharte auf die Rasur vorzubereiten. Ich möchte ja nicht wissen, was in billigen Seifen für chemische Keulen enthalten sind, um das Barthart bereits in den ersten Sekunden nach dem Auftragen weich werden zu lassen. Also lieber dieses Produkt hier, dass ich nur empfehlen kann.

La crema si monta molto facilmente, ne' scaturisce una schiuma consistente e molto protettiva durante la rasatura. La profumazione è quella di una buona colonia.
