Definitely a must have.
First no weird smell when unpackaged. Easy to fill. This was amazing while it lasted. We had ours for over a year and has been used and abused to the max by all my kids, 5-22yo. Its actually quite comfortable. They love the snug feeling, no leaks until it recently split at the seams and is slowly leaking air. looking for solution. Honestly kinda pricey but overall fulfilled the needs. :)

Not strong on the seam
Great idea but air is coming out from the seam. Watch video and you can hear it. My son is autistic and I got it for him but it didn't last long. Update: Got in contact with seller, they made things right! Happy customer:-)

This thing is a life saver
As a parent of a child with autism, finding products that provide genuine comfort and support is an ongoing journey. This inflatable Sensory Chair has proven to be a game-changer in our household, offering a haven of relaxation and sensory relief for our child. The material is soft and durable, creating a cozy cocoon that our child instantly gravitated towards. The inflatable feature allows us to customize the firmness, providing the perfect level of support based on our child's individual needs. It is a peaceful retreat for our child during moments of sensory overload. The portability of the chair is another noteworthy feature. Whether we're at home, in the car, or visiting friends and family, we can easily deflate and inflate the chair, ensuring our child has a familiar and comforting space wherever we go. This has been a lifesaver during outings. Cleaning and maintenance are a breeze. In terms of durability, the Inflatable Sensory Chair has exceeded our expectations. It has held up well with no leaks. If you're seeking a reliable and effective solution to provide comfort and sensory support for your child, this inflatable chair is an outstanding tool.

Not as durable as they claim
I tried reaching out to Ted Kangaroo to inform them their item was not as durable as they say. Unfortunately it’s been nearly a week and haven’t heard back at all. In their overview of the item they show a picture of the area that failed on mine with “extra durable”. I was hesitant after reading a couple of reviews but it had an overall decent rating so I decided to try. My son enjoyed his sensory pea pod quite a bit until the “extra durable” section failed miserably. If anyone reading this is on the fence about buying this item, unless it’s going to be handled like it’s the original copy of the constitution, I’d look elsewhere. Also, if you attempt to reach out to the company, don’t expect a reply, I’m curious if I’ll hear a reply here. If their customer support is anything like their products, be prepared to be disappointed.

Would definitely buy again!
Our 7 yo special needs grandson loves getting in his boat to look at books with a blanket in the bottom and stuffed animals! Plenty of room!

Seams Ripped. Won’t inflate.
It is really easy to set up & the size is great. my 5 & 1 year old can fit at same time with comfort. I bought it specifically for my 5 year old on the spectrum as he really likes to sit inbetween tight spaces so i thought this would be a nice sensory output for him. He LOVED it. Unfortunately after 4 days, i noticed one side of the pod was deflating. That’s when i seen the seams on one side of the chair had popped so it won’t stay inflated. i tried patching it with tape as i really don’t want to return it since my son did enjoy it but it won’t hold /

Awesome Chair for Neurodivergent Adult
I don't usually review things, but I wanted to add some autistic/ADHD adult representation. I love this chair. Sometimes I need a tight hug to regulate, but that is not always an option depending on where I am living and my schedule. I bought this chair in June during an internship while I was living far from home. It was perfect for decompressing after work with a good book. Now that I am back at school, it is great for days when it is hard to do assignments at my desk. It is also great for naps when you are in a deep pressure mood. It's extra secure when I wear my weighted blanket with sleeves in it. A weighted stuffed animal is also an excellent nap companion in this chair. The reason I removed a star is because one of the sides is not holding air as well as it used to. I have no idea where it is leaking, but it holds air well enough to be usable. It is still functional without patching, just slightly inconvenient compared to how it used to hold air as it needs to be filled more frequently.
