Hurricane tested
I don't write reviews much at all - don't have product loyalty, am not a bot, all that stuff. I don't even really like 'things' that much, nor do I try to convince other people to get the things I have. But holy smokes, these shoes are great. I initially purchased these as the tactical shoes for a milsim kit that I'm building, but have used the last several moths to break them in before taking them to their first airsoft game. In that amount of time I moved house in a downpour, finished moving that house, and prepped for Helene with these shoes, and I have been impressed the whole time. Here are my pros and cons lists: 1- they look cool - very important - keep the ego well tended 2- they ARE cool, in that my feet do not feel like they are going to dissolve, even in hot Florida weather 3- they are comfortable - they wear like tennis shoes, maybe a little heavier but still able to run in these 4- Waterproofing is legit - I don't know how many deeper puddles I had to walk through or step into in the recent rains and my feet never got wet, not once. ( I also did not go over the waterproofing limit of the shoe. Very important. ) 5- Durability -I have treated these shoes as if I'm going to go to war in them and they're holding up great. Plenty of tread left, still comfortable, still grippy, still dry. CONS: Pricing. I wish they were a little cheaper. All in all, these are wonderfully versatile and capable shoes with good waterproofing, aesthetics, and durability/reliability. I thoroughly plan on acquiring these shoes again once this pair wears down...not sure when that's gonna be, though. Might be waiting a little while :)

Great Salomon Shoes!
When I first got these shoes they were uncomfortable and my feet hurt after wearing them. This was for the first 4 or 5 days. At first, I thought I had made a mistake, however, I have other Salomon shoes that I love. I continued to wear them and lo and behold they loosened up and suddenly became very comfortable and adapted to my feet perfectly. My conclusion is they require a “break in” period after which the shoes perform splendidly. Salomon shoes are designed to exacting standards for top performance and they have to fit the foot tightly and securely to do this. I have a long narrow foot and they prevent the sliding and loose fitting common with lower quality shoes. Simply put, these fit perfectly in my growing Salomon collection and for trail hiking, climbing, and everyday walking, they are superb. There is cheaper stuff out there and you get what you pay for. Salomon rocks!

Amazing and worth the price
These are great and size/width of the boot is perfect. I've never had boots that fit like a glove and are as light as they are. I feel like I'm walking on air. Definitely worth the price. I'm a Salomon customer from now on.

Comfortable
One of most comfortable boots I have owned! I haven’t been able to put the boots to the test out in the field which is why I gave it a four star! However, for everyday wear in a suburban environment they’ve done well thus far!

Awesome!
I went back to Solomon and couldn't be happier! I always purchased hiking shoes from Salomon, usually the low version, up until recently. I tried Arc'teryx but their soles are very soft and the tread wears down quickly. So, I wanted to do some research and I finally found these pair on Amazon's website. These are not on the Solomon website or any other website that I have found. I could not be happier with these boots, seriously! I normally wear a size 10.5D, I ordered a size 10.5 and they fit perfectly. The padding is great, the high, supportive collar fits snug around your ankled with no gaps. The design and look is badass! A firm sole that has great traction. I mean this soul is going to last years & years with some heavy miles on it. Buy these, you won't be disappointed!

Tough and well constructed
They lasted me a year and more than 300 miles. I was in the middle of a 12-mile hike and kicked a branch that was sticking out from the ground, wich stabed the front of the boot. It went under the inner sole and didn't hurt my feet. The next week, I was going to do a 50+ mile hike over extremely rugged terrain, and I just didn't have the time to get the boot repaired before it, so I just went like that. In the middle of that hike, the hole left by that branch started opening and breaking the outer sole of the boot, but even then, it held up all the way to the finish line, and I was able to complete the hike with a boot that was literally falling apart (with the help of some duct tape and some zip ties). Even with half the boot broken, my feet stayed dry all the way, and it never felt uncomfortable.

Okay hiking boot, but not any more
Saloman was sized incorrectly: I wear 10.5, but had to send 1st order back and reorder 11.5. Cannot speedlace with fabric lace eyes. Laces are a foot short for my liking. Tongue is not wide enough to seal the top of the boot. For GORTEX, it is not. I have had wet socks walking through wet grass, let alone crossing a creek! I changed my mind: POOR BOOT.

Very Good Shoes I used it for Mount Pulag Climb
This is a solid buy. Very light and flexible. I just used this to climb Mount Pulag, the highest peak in Luzon, Philippines. The trek here combines wet mossy forest, grassland, rocky trail, with some ascent. All went very well. No ankle twist and the sole grip is good. Will recomend this.

Es una marca muy duradera

These are comfortable and well-made. If they prove durable over a few years of trekking, they will deserve the five-star rating. I base my score on that assumption. The soles are especially good: flexible enough for comfort but stiff enough for good support on rocks, with a tread that grips all surfaces I encountered. I am glad I made this purchase, and the price was less than I expected to pay for quality trekking boots.

I love these boots. This is my second pair of hiking boots from Salomon, and honestly, I wouldn’t wear anything else now. These are men’s boots and I’m female, but I find them totally fine. I do think that they could be a little narrow for people with wider feet. I did size up by one from my usual size to allow room for thick socks and a bit of extra space, especially when going downhill. I use these a few times a month for 5–10 mile hikes across mixed terrain, gravel, rocks, grass, snow, you name it. They’ve performed well in all conditions. The grip is excellent and they feel really safe underfoot, never slippy. I’ve seen some mixed reviews, but I honestly don’t get it. My experience has been fantastic for the kind of hiking I do. • Super comfortable straight out of the box. I never had to break them in and have never had any blisters or sore spots. I genuinely believe that if you invest in quality boots, you should be able to wear them for miles on the first go with zero issues. • They’re durable, waterproof and feel really robust. • They offer great ankle support when properly fastened. Aesthetically, I think they look great. Giving a bit of Steve Irwin energy, but in a cool way.
