they are minis.....about an inch long
I saw these on sale after searching Amazon 4hrs for replacement sliding latches....yeah all kinds of stuff came up in that search. anyway, I am glad these did and that they were marked down to $4.70, something like that under $5. the magnets are excellent. all 8 came in the package. the 2 tubes of nail-free adhesive were also in the mix, as well as a card and somewhat bland instructions = doesn't matter though I mean come on if someone doesn't know how to use these types of magnet latches or a sealant adhesive then why they buying this amirite? anyway, I got them bc my $15 lapdesk I got on here 5 years ago with not only an adjustable (15.6) laptop stand but a fairly good sized storage compartment under the lid and a thick cushion along with a carrying handle and lock on the lid finally gave up the ghost on that locking lid feature. well at first I was thinking of just getting another one I mean, this one had been $15 like probably one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon tbh I've gotten so much use outta this lapdesk I love it, but I'd been looking for like a month now and couldn't find it. wasn't in my Buy Again section. didn't come up in any of the searches I did. I wasn't even seeing any knockoffs, and all the ones that did have storage were either missing the adjustable laptop stand or the storage was pitiful and wouldn't even hold my phone. my $15 lapdesk holds a couple notebooks, a Zentangle book, like 10 pens, a lot of Zentangle tiles, my charcoal pencils, post it stickies, and two of my password books. yeah this thing a beast, but with a broken sliding plastic lid latch how was I gonna be able to keep using it without all my stuff falling out? I even bought plastic modeling glue and tried to reconect the one little tiny piece that broke off the sliding part. no go. so I got to thinking replacement latch, bc I'm not paying $60+ for one of these lapdesks that don't even have all the same features as this one. well I saw these, and got to thinking the top part of my lapdesk fits down into the bottom of it for the sliding latch to work, what if I just get these and put one on the inside pf the bottom and the sliding bit on the top....if they're small and thin enough it should work. well they are indeed small and thin enough. doesn't close perfectly but almost and it holds.....as of right now, nail-free adhesive+a bit of the plastic modeling glue for good measure has now been drying almost 24hrs every time I have checked each magnet they've been firmly in place. so I hope they hold bc I'd much rather just get a few more yrs outta this desk than have to buy another one. magnets are strong, if the adhesives hold up I'll never stop singing praises for these.

Small, but awesome.
Magnets are strong enough, very small, fit perfectly! Didnt need to use glue. 3m stickers are enough to hold. Very satisfied.

Dont waste your time and money.
The adhesive it comes with was dried out. They dont have 3m on it like in the pictures and they crack easily. Dont buy 👎👎

Needs a better tape
Magnets were great but the sticky tape was not good for holding.

Reasonable
Note that this product is a bit off. The magnet is supposed to be exposed , whilst the treated and child friendly side is actually glue on , the product can only be used in parralel , there is not enough strength to use it as a bisection joint . I ended up having to use two sets per draw. Which is a little pricy but worked well. It is fairly thing at about 3-4 mm for magnet + plate + 2 3m foam stickers. Which is thicker than I had hoped. Comes with glue and 3m adhesives. But considering the reviews for the adhesive I decided to try the 3m stickers first. They seem to be working . In general but it's a bit iffy. I'm on a smoothe lacquered surface and I know occasionally the magnet pulls out the adhesive . I'm hoping the adhesive will have boned better after a few days. Otherwise I will try the glue.Overall it works , but the magnet mount is design wierd with a smooth finish to have even worse cohesion , and has no real function. Basicly it's a thin magnet and a metal plate with absolutely no design or structural mechanics . As such I can't help but feel it is heavily overpriced even though it works perfectly for what it is. Magnet is strong but possibly too small. Somewhere in between a proper magnetic catch and one for cheap toyboxes. Would only use in special cases where standard catches are not an option. Also not because it is parallel only you will have a 4mm stickout from flush

Small, Strong, Effective Magnets
Purchased these magnets to hold closed sliding doors on a sideboard. Cat had decided this was his favorite napping place and was able to slide open the doors. I was a bit concerned if they would be strong enough to hold and also questionable comments about the adhesive. I did not want to use the gel (in case it didn't work). I also didn't want the white 3M tape due to the color of the cabinet, so I ordered black 3M heavy duty mounting tape: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DJLLM9TV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1Installation was easy. With the 1/2-inch tape I was able to put tape on both the magnet and catch with them still together. I trimmed around the edges (not much trimming needed). I positioned the magnet/catch at the handle, as I thought this would give a more consistent direct out pull. Maybe not necessary, but as a precaution I used painters tape to snuggly pull the doors (magnets and catches) together, then left it alone for 24 hours.I'm happy with the result. The magnets hold the doors snuggly - cat can't open but people can with a fairly gentle pull. I've ordered more magnets to put on a sliding pocket door to the bathroom - which the same cat likes to open. Only difference here is I'll use white 3M tape due to the color of the door and door jam.

thin magnetic pieces
came with both adhesive and peel and stick patches for use. my application was easiest using the adhesive which once allowed to dry completely held very firmly and did not add enough additional thickness to alter the fit of the items it was used on.
