Alright motors. Have the 6s versions of the 1404 on my 3.5” baby ape freestyle 2. Fit perfect. Run good and smooth enough for freestyle. Probably better suited for 3”. Nevertheless pretty happy with them.

Flew multiple cruising flights and the motor seems to perform fine. Once I started punching the throttle and going faster, the motors easily burned out. On crashes, the wire connection to the windings is weak and easily breaks. I bought 8 of these and are now down to 5. Running this on a 4S 3" quad with HQ Prop T3x3x3 at 4500ft elevation. Definitely going to try a different brand.

Imagine getting 2 used bell housings and 2 used stators instead of 4 new motors.

This motor seems to work, so that's the minimum bar I suppose. I'm using it in a project with relatively low performance demands and it is doing just fine. I feel like I've got other motors that deliver more punch for the power draw, but I haven't scientifically tested it, so it could be in my head.
