This little curling iron/straightener works great—maybe a little too great because the heat from the iron burned the countertop! Situation was resolved by purchasing a silicone mat, also from Amazon .Gave it a 4 because the barrel is very short, which makes it easier to burn yourself. A heat resistant glove is included but I find it awkward to use. My hair is very coarse and the 400 setting does a fantastic job smoothing it out for up to 3 days at a time.Overall, do recommend this iron with the right accessories.

I wanted something to put my hot tools away so my bathroom vanity was not cluttered waiting for them to cool. This is perfect for that as well as a place to lay the tools down while using. Also perfect for travel.
