Great dental floss
My periodontist recommended this dental floss. It is more effective than the single strand type.

Highly effective at removing tartar and embedded food
If you want your teeth clean, this is the product to use. I've tried the teflon floss, but it is too slick. The waxed products are better, but still too slick. This expands and is "grabby" between my teeth, creating excellent scraping capabilities to remove tartar and bits of food.

Gets the Food Out
My hygienist recommended this and it does get the hidden debris out from teeth with a small gap.

Much better than traditional, but has one drawback
I found this floss while on the hunt for a water-pik. I have always used the flat waxy floss my dentist gave me. I always struggled to floss regularly because I always struggle to get a good grip on the floss. I would end up using a 3 ft length so that I could wrap it around fingers, wrists, whatever.I saw comments on expandable floss and thought why not. After using it a few times, here is what I found:1. Yes, it does seem to do a better job than traditional floss. This floss fits through very tight spots, then expands to fill the area between teeth at the gum line. Some reviews mention pulling huge chunks of food out using this floss, even after careful brushing. I am not sure what is up with those people, and I cant claim this pulled long buried food out of my teeth. But it did "feel" like it was going a better job, and I can tell the between spaces are clean.2. The thing I love the most: It is SO MUCH EASIER to work with. I can just about hold it between finger and thumb with no wrapping, and still use it. It is just grippier in my hands. So now I use a much smaller piece. As others mention, it takes about 10 seconds in water for the floss to expand. I tend to cut of a piece, put it under the faucet in my hand, and pretty quickly it is ready to go. I did not find this to be an issue, as I quickly got used to doing this before brushing. So after putting brush down, floss is more than ready. The only negative I encountered was having the floss break apart in a very tight space. I contributed to this by going back and forth (a lot) in a prior spot just before the break. Once the piece was broken off and between my teeth, the feeling was not at all uncomfortable, but still one I wanted to immediately have cease. Its like a deeply instinctive reaction. Removing it was actually easy. I just grabbed a fresh strip, and flossed that gap. The broken fibers came right out. This has happened only once in about five uses, but I wanted to mention, since it never happed with my old flosses.Overall, I am sold. This is my floss from now on. Much easier to use, which means I floss more often and more thoroughly.

BEST FLOSS EVER
I first purchased this floss in a store and did not realize it was "expanding floss" until after I used it. I had trouble finding again so AMAZON to the rescue. I've worked in dentistry for 30+ yrs . I can honestly say I have never been more impressed with dental floss. The before/after shows how once the floss is under your gum tissue it swells like a sponge absorbing plaque like no other. Those of you using floss on a stick, STOP! You are just picking up plaque and bringing it to the next tooth. You must try this!

A game changer for oral health
This expanding floss is such a phenomenal in increase in quality and product over non-expanding floss. By expanding, and makes it very easy to see where one has already used the floss and therefore avoid re-introducing bacteria into clean spots between the teeth. Absolutely recommend.

Tears too easily while using. Prefer regular rather than this stretchy type
I have tight spaces between my teeth and this product and this product tears and sometimes gets stuck in my teeth
