Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love this beautiful Case knife. Couldn't be happier.

You need to know that Case knives are a particular animal. They are not high-end, one-of-a-kind. They are seldom locking mechanism blades or one-hand open blades. They are most suited for everyday pants-pocket carry. They make great letter openers, simple whittlers. The trapper is a good size that fits the hand well. Some other Case knives are purposefully much smaller, and can get lost in the hand. They are well constructed, and if cared for, will last many years. I like the smooth handles of "kirinite" simply because they are easy to keep clean. The jigged bone handles are classier - old school - but can carry dirt about easily. This is not a knife to give to a young, first time user. It requires two hands to open and two hands to close. This can be a tough way to learn how to use a knife. But an experienced knife user can enjoy this double bladed knife and care for it properly. I like the fruit blade on the trapper. Great for apple cutting. I like the sharp edge that it comes with. Best learn how to keep a blade sharp to keep that great edge in good shape. Price is reasonable. Performance is great. A good knife for the average user, if you don't need a pocket clip and if you are willing to do the proper maintenance that a decent knife requires.

This was given as a gift. I almost kept it for myself! This knife is absolutely gorgeous... more so in person than seeing it on the computer. Has a good feel to it, too!
